    They presented Hales with the 1977 goal of the year trophy on today's offering.  Paddy was there as he laid the goal on.

    Hales was already at Derby at this time, but on a long term injury.  He quipped that he'd try and nick Powell to revitalise his scoring touch, but Powell said later that we already had a replacement goal scoring machine in Mike Flanagan.  Powell is still the best player to slot in straight from non league football imo.  He was a natural.

    The competition winner was from Thamesmead - wonder if he is a Charlton fan?
