With the return of masters football on the horizon. Who would make your Addick's side to play in 2022? (The criteria is over 35 & retired from the professional game)

My Side:
Kiely (goalkeeper is a nightmare as they're either too old or not yet retired)
Konchesky
Jackson
Bent
Kermorgant0 -
Parker would obviously make the side if I could bare to select him0
-
Steve Brown GK (solves the age/retirement problem!)
Rod Fanni
Alou Diarra
Scott Parker
Paulo Di Canio1 -
Thuram
Williams - Johnson
Lepoint - Ceballos
Hemed
Opposition would get the ball, look up... Would be unable to process what they're seeing up against them
Ceballos would get the ball, cross it - the world will suddenly appear in slow motion with some dramatic cinematic music - Hemed arrives on to the scene, and hits the ball at some poor kid in the stands who is desperately trying to bring back the family order, forcing him to spill everything.7 -
Ben Watson, oh....5

Diarra is a superb shout!Simonsen said:Steve Brown GK (solves the age/retirement problem!)

These comments making me miss how exciting it used to be watching a the ball fall to a centre-back anywhere within 40 yards and genuinely be expecting him to have a pop and test the keeper...what a player Talal was!2

We haven't had many genuine mentalists play for Charlton but El Karkouri was close to top of the tree as far as CAFC nutters go (or perhaps that should be furthest out of the tree).

Peter Evans - centre mid. I can’t remember if he played a first team game though (might have player a full members cup game or 2).iaitch said:

Don't think Peter Evans got a FMC/Simod game but I could be wrong. There were some other fringe players who did play like Ronnie Mauge, Billy Beggs and somebody called Marcus Smart who played against Leicester in 1989. Can anyone remind me who he was?ricky_otto said:

I seem to remember Derek Walsh playing too (Colin's brother) but I can't recall who he played against.0 -

Marcus Smart was a centre back. I believe Billy Beggs died some year ago.Simonsen said:

Derek never played in the first team, but iirc had a couple of trials with us when he left Everton and later in his career after playing for Carlisle.Simonsen said:
