Somewhat depressing to see the quality of players (most of them young too) Palace have in Zaha, Gallagher, Guehi, Mitchell, Anderson, Eze and Olise especially when compared to those we currently have on our books.
Even worse, I could see Gallagher signing for them on a permanent basis simply because I think he wants to be playing football and being there has proven no barrier to playing for England with both him and Guehi being called up. Perhaps the Southgate/Palace bias helps too because I'm sure someone like Dan Burn must be thinking what he has to do to get ahead of the likes of Guehi. Gallagher also only has to see how easy it is to struggle to get regular game time at Chelsea against Mount, Ziyech, Havertz, Lukaku, Werner, Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Barkley, Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi, Niguez and Pulisic to name 13 that are already competing for six places or even just five when Chelsea play with wing backs. Whereas he is one of the first names on the sheet at Palace.
