Someone in the VAR room supports Liverpool I think.0
-
Think that was the right call on the penalty tbh0
-
Who cares.
If the score stays like this palace need to beat 2 big teams to lift the cup1 -
Christ on a bike. Yet again, Itv prove they are simply incapable of covering football well. They showed one quick view of the VAR for the contentious offside and didn’t even discuss it further. Seemed to me that they measured the lines before the ball was crossed in, but maybe that’s my bias?I guess I’ll never know because they didn’t even analyse it.0

Worst possible draw for the stripeys. Being drawn against Gallagher’s parent club means they will be without their best player for the biggest game of their season.

Come on Chelsea!0

I'm on my own here but my hatred of Chelsea and the odious west London team being blind to Putin's bitch and fixer over 19 years means they shouldn't have any fans at Wembley for the Semi final or final. I doubt I will even watch the match but if on a Sunday I may watch will the sound muted.
I don't want to hear Palace fans singing your support is "effing shit" to a deserted end of the stadium. Chelsea fans will still get tickets in the palace end as money talks as all Chelsea fans should know.
I would like to see Chelsea in the National League South, I'm not so bitter that I want them to go out of business ? Hold on, I think I'm.1 -
I did wonder that actually. Does it technically mean that after comps, all tickets in the ground will go on sale to Palace fans?0

If Chelsea aren’t allowed to collect any revenues from ticket sales. As the gate receipts for FA Cup games is split the only answer is to play their semi final behind closed doors

The final could be Chelsea Vs Liverpool again...just like the Carling cup.
Penalties may round it up again.
Has that ever happened in a season before?
The chances of it must be pretty staggering and rare0 -
Not sure there's ever been many seasons with the same 2 sides in both finals, let alone both going to penalties.
In the 90s, Arsenal won both cups in the same season, beating Sheff Weds in both finals.2 -

Another reason for not playing the semis at WembleyThe FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Manchester City should be moved from Wembley, say the mayors of both cities. The game is scheduled to take place on the weekend of 16 and 17 April. However, engineering works mean no trains are running from either city to or from London from 15 to 18 April.Andy Burnham, the mayor of Greater Manchester, and Liverpool mayor Steve Rotheram both say the game needs to be at a "more accessible stadium".0 -
Hillsborough then?0

The Liverpool-City game will be played at Wembley regardless of travel chaos for fans or anything else because two FA cup semi finals there every year is part of the FA’s budget to pay for building it0

Just like the toll @ Dartford Crossing will go, once thats been paid for1 -
They should never have changed it and had semi's at Wembley, completely diminishes the Final.
Plenty of big stadiums to hold semi finals in mid way between 2 x teams and it keeps the carbon footprint down.3 -
They mention travel issues on the day of the game, but surely it would sell out Wembley anyways? Plenty of southern fans of both teams who could buy the tickets that the northerners cant.0

Its surely going to be impossible for the FA to second guess the Semi-Finals locations wherever they're held
I mean given the logistics / policing, I cant see them waiting until the Quarter-Finals have been played, before saying: "Right we can see there are two Southern teams facing each other, they can play at the Emirates, the two Northern teams facing each can play at Goodison Park"
Yes these ties could have easily have been played at Old Trafford and Villa Park as per tradition - Yet wouldn't it then be Chelsea and Crystal Palace in turn who'd be screwed over by the work being planned on the railways.
Surely if the Mayors want to have a whinge, they should be moaning at Network Rail.
After all surely the dates for the FA Cup etc. have been known for at least a year2 -
Here's a fact that doesnt sound true, although dont expect it to last...
Jayden Stockley is joint top scorer in the FA Cup this season, along with Riyad Mahrez

surely Chelsea v Palace could be at either Spurs/Arsenal/West Ham c25/30k tickets each0
-
I'd play that one at Inverness just to piss both clubs off.1

Grounds used by Spurs | Man Utd | Southampton | Newcastle | Watford | West Ham
Arent viable options for example as there are Premier League fixtures at those venues that weekend.0 -

All they would need to do is shortlist 3-4 stadiums and have police prepared. 2 northern teams = Old trafford. 2 southern teams = Arsenal or Spurs. North v south = villa park. Obviously dependent on if any of the sides who play at those grounds are in the cup.
They'd know the quarter final lineup at least 6 weeks before the semi final dates and this year it was fairly easy to predict that Chelsea, City and Liverpool would make it through, so i can't see how it's that hard to arrange.2
