In the early ‘90’s June Brown starred at a fundraiser at Exeter University for an HIV/AIDS charity. She had performed in Bristol the night before, but had her car broken into and all her clothing and personal belongings stolen. But she still went to Exeter, had a couple of🍷 and sang and danced the whole night. She waived the fee her agent had asked for to cover expenses, just stipulating that she needed to be kept topped up with red wine.
