Saw her in a restaurant near Covent Garden many years ago and she was loving the adulation and lapping it up. Happy to pose for pics and autographs. RIP.0

Watched Eastenders at various periods in my life up until about 15 years ago. Amazing contribution to British TV for so long. RIP0

Made history as the first actor to do a single hander episode of a soap.I remember watching it years ago. Half an hour on her own. Brilliantly done.RIP2

In the early ‘90’s June Brown starred at a fundraiser at Exeter University for an HIV/AIDS charity. She had performed in Bristol the night before, but had her car broken into and all her clothing and personal belongings stolen. But she still went to Exeter, had a couple of🍷 and sang and danced the whole night. She waived the fee her agent had asked for to cover expenses, just stipulating that she needed to be kept topped up with red wine.
