  • Do Charlton have anyone from Charlton in the squad?
  • Hate everything about it.
  • I loved it.
Especially having the womens teams playing first.
I’ll be glued to it again 😎

    Population of Charlton  14,385
    Population of Wales 3,136,000

9 of the current Kent squad were born in Kent. That's approximately 36% of their squad
10 of the current Glamorgan squad were born in Wales. That's approximately 40% of their squad and not one of them has been selected for the Welsh Fire
  • Best (only) thing was having the women's team playing first.

Am more interested in cricket as was before the 100 rather than the showy, crowd-pleasing stuff - if I wasn't, I would have moved on from supporting Charlton long ago

How many Middlesex players were born in Middlesex?

At least Welsh Fire have a New South Wales player in the squad!

More concerned about how many players are going to improve their cricketing ability from this than are playing for the appropriate concocted franchise

Do you think players are going to improve their cricketing ability from The Hundred?

No, that's why I am more concerned how they are going to from this. ENG not doing well at the moment and the Hundred won't help that

The ECB won't care as long as they keep the money

It won't improve their cricketing ability in Red Ball cricket that's for sure.

The scheduling disrupts the cricket season, which has a knock-on effect. Notably the one-day cup if affected. Is all the money made from it being ploughed back into grass roots cricket?

Are you arguing that a team being marketed for its welshness should consist entirely of people from wales?
  • I’m going to Kent v Middlesex T20 in Canterbury in June

    One too many tournaments.

The Hundred being the one too many

Absolutely- straight over the one day cup games - which means another season of watching Kent B play 50 overs. All utterly illogical of course, manufactured teams, garish TV coverage and an utterly pointless format which no other country plays. Clearly designed to help the national test & 50 over squads!

  • Never let it be said that the ECB do not have the healthy interests of the boys and girls that watch his competition. Hula Hoops, Skips, McCoy's, Butterkist, KP Nuts, Popchips, Pom-Bear and Tyrrells may not be on the kids replica shirts but they are there for all to see, be it live or on TV, on the men's and women's tops!
  • It was always a daft sponsor idea.

A totally ridiculous and inappropriate set of sponsors

As longs as the £££'s roll in the ECB do not care
  • It's ridiculous to see snacks sponsoring cricket teams. Why can't we go back to the good old days, when we didn't have to put up with this sort of advertising while watching teams playing in the John Player Sunday League or the Benson and Hedges Cup?
  • And before watcing the Sunday League we could watch formula one and see the John Player Lotus win.

And in years to come you will, equally no doubt, express your dismay at the lack of obese producing snacks not being readily advertised and promoted to kids. I don't ever recall seeing John Player and B and H emblazoned on the shirts of players. Let's play a bit of "spot the difference" shall we?

What do the team kits look like for The Hundred
  • It's terrible when cricket teams wear shirts that are covered in sponsorship from products that are harmful

Kids can easily purchase Spitfire can they? As easily as they can KP snacks?
