I have lived in Halifax for five years!
Some very decent ale pubs and also the Piece Hall is superb. I am seeing Noel Gallagher and Primal Scream there in a couple of months. Tom Jones and Paul Weller are also playing it.2 -

Quite a few craft ale spots up here, the Victoria craft beer cafe is a great spot, they have a beer from kiev with all profit going direct to the Red Cross appeal1
