American businessman Henry Mauriss has had a £115m bid to buy Sheffield United accepted by the Championship club.
Mauriss previously bid £350m to buy Newcastle United in 2020, before a Saudi Arabian-backed takeover went through the following year.
Sounds steep to me, considering they're likely to still be in the Championship next season

Definitely a lot but they have what, 2 yrs of parachute money left at £30-40M pa and sit 6th this year after a good run.
Plus their owner is some Saudi Prince anyway so I assume not a distressed sale?0 -
That’s a very expensive greasy chip butty4

Be interesting to see if this actually happens , same guy tried to buy Newcastle and never produced the proof of funds.
£115m seems steep but you've got parachute payments and a ready to go Premier League standard stadium.0 -

An American consortium eh...
A good time for the current owner to sell, with a good chance of promotion back to the PL.0 -
Hopefully they've finally found good buyers after the absolute ESI level chancers they've almost been sold to before by Prince Abdullah.1

I suggest CM share this news with our consortium to explain why they need to invest heavily in our squad this January…😉🙂1

He probably needs to keep it quiet doesn't he! Sold for £115M at the very top of the Championship.
Our lot are in for £30M already and would need to buy The Valley and training ground for £50M to have all the assets. There is not a lot of profit left in that given the risks!0 -
