If Lyle plays in place of André Green there (or in place of Chuks) we probably at least hit the target and potentially we survive.
A lot of pressure on him, but as our talismanic striker, he could and should have tried to prove he could handle it.1 -

Because of Covid, a once in a century event, the season was delayed until after June. Those games in July were part of the 2019/20 season, the transfer window was still shut for example, the sponsors were the same etc
In such awful circumstances for society, footballers had a moral duty to make themselves available until those games had been played. Nearly every other player did so, the only other high profile individual I can think of elsewhere who didn't was Ryan Fraser.3 -
And yet even though he made the extremely selfish decision to do what he did, he's now calling us a "clown club".
No matter how much more money he's making as a result of his actions, that is not warranted whatsoever.
Zero respect for him.6 -
Worth mentioning also we paid him for all the weeks he was sat on his arse after getting injured playing for his clown national team Montserrat on their council pitch17

He is looking after himself, why care about people he'll unlikely meet again.7 -
Considering his highest profile moments were in our shirt and he couldn’t wait to dump on his beloved Wimbledon quick enough to get here I’d say he proves time and time again what a classless knob he truly is, generally an arse splinter receiver in tier 2 and as that guy said- it won’t be long before he’s slopping around in tier 4 with his “beloved” Wimbledon.
Not fit to clean King Clive’s boots!7 -

Never in the wrong. Always quick to deflect when called out. Often goes hand in hand with extreme insecurity.
And the one thing that would hurt them the most is a lack of attention.
I'd f*** my bosses off for 4x my present salary.3 -

Clubs do not play players so not to activate contracts. It's a two way street.2

What he did was the equivalent of throwing a sticky for a week or two before handing in your notice and then never showing up again afterwards.
That's a dick move even if it's to people that you're "unlikely.to meet again".
Not to mention the digs now over the league we're in etc when that's partly his fault.

the 3 games - he was wrong and it was a breach of contract
the remainder was up to him and i dont blame him for what he done.
age isnt on his side and will be most money he will earn.
lets rememeber we got relegated by a point.
i also agree that whilst playing for his national team ( his choice ) he was injured and didnt play a large part of the season.
swings and roundabouts i feel.1 -
That's an unbelievably shocking quote from Taylor. He's dead to me (for the second time).0

Funny how when Lyle did or said shitty things about other clubs during his time with us it was 'top bants' or 'top shithousery'
Now he's doing/saying things about us, he's a scumbag.
Personally always felt he was/is a crap human being, but a good footballer at this level. What he's doing now is no surprise, he's done it throughout his career3 -
Lyle is a knob-head alright. Annoyingly, he's playing very well for Brum at the moment. He shouldn't insult us...but we are a bit of a clown club at the moment. Hopefully that will change in the next year or two.0

Given he's 32, I'd look elsewhere if I was a Championship chairman/manager looking for a striker in the summer, although I think he'd do a decent job in League One (again), or in the SPL.
Not interested in having him back here though!0 -

I just think I'd be aiming a bit higher as a Championship club than a 32 year old who has only ever got 20 odd goals at Championship level (in 3 years), including regular penalties.
At L1 level, I think he'd do a very good job for someone.0 -
He loves that he is living rent free in a large number of our fans' heads. He's not the first and certainly won't be the last to act the prat at our club. Time for everyone to move on and stop reacting to everything he does, it's embarrassing all round.10

There you go Lyle, if you were not such a selfish prick you might have won Steve Cooper over and be playing premiership football next season.2
