Fucking hell - we’ve played 15 mins of a pre season friendly and people are moaning! Never mind the 75 mins left, the rest of pre season and 46 league games….we are already doomed. Must be the socks.

jesus Christ, we are under a new manager and a. New style of play - we should be 7-0 up by now…

Why are you all taking the bait... Darwin nunez is also the same height as stockley (6'2)

For the 4th game of preseason were looking very poor, generally can't see this formation/ style of play lasting long as we just haven't got the players to play it properly

So is Kane, whilst Lewandowski is 6'1 - Its a lazy argument against Stockley

I know it's only 10 minutes in, but I've seen a bit of our pre season games and I just can't see how Stockley will suit garner ball.
He wont. Stockley needs the ball in the air. You don't see Liverpool & Man City playing with 6ft 4 strikers.

Bringing Garner in should have meant Stockley leaving. Sad but necessary.
Apart from the fact Man City have just signed Haaland.... Guess how tall he is?!
I thought someone would say that.

But Haarland is a goalscorer & is good with his feet. Stockley is neither.

Passing too slow compared to the runs in behind. We used to have that problem when we played Dennis Rommedahl wide right, he'd make a run in behind and we wouldn't pass to him, then the fullback would look to pass to him once he was tracking back from an offside position

Or we could give them time to adapt for the style and grow into the game before writing them off?

Stockley is a Goalscorer - But then idiots have to go into further detail to talk about who he scores against so your argument remains valid - Bit like what you're doing already!!

Literally most of our forward play so far this game, has gone through Stockley dropping deep and linking play like he did with Fraser then.

He’s done that every pre season game so far, and has done it quiet well.

I don’t understand how people are not seeing it. It’s right there on the screen.

Because some have decided he has no chance of fitting into the style so will need at least have a season of it working to change their mind.

Well we've scored ten goals in Pre-Season so far.

So like how those goals should be written off, because its pre-season, so too should this performance

Looks like 4-3-3. As has been said before the biggest question is how the three CMs set up. I’d be surprised if the others line up differently.

                 Wollacott

    Clare Inniss O’Connell Sessegnon

                     Dobson

                JFC        Fraser

    CBT                                   Kirk

                    Stockley

Second half if we sub on entire team

                      CM

    Ness Lavelle Elerewe Clayden

              Gilbey Morgan

    Davison       Aneke      DJ

                  Leaburn
You’re not gonna like this if you’re one of the negative Norris’ but the fact that the latter is our second XI shows we are stronger than we have been for a good few years, could we even fill a second XI in the last five years or so.
Not sure about that. How many of those players in the second XI would you be happy with playing 25+ games. Aneke is the only proven decent player

Ideally none of them because it’s our second XI.

When did we last have a stronger second XI, in league one?

I think it’s too early to be so certain. We play in a league in which Hull were promoted with Magennis as a lone striker. You don’t need every player to be a perfect fit for every role.

We are two wide players and a goal scoring midfielder short of a good side.   Oh and a left back and a more solid goalkeeper.

Perhaps a centre half more comfortable on the ball too if Deji isn't playing.

    Nevermind.

Again the best lesson being learnt from this so far is what changes (tactically and individually) Ben is thinking to improve on this - There are going to be games where Fraser | Kirk | CBT are ineffective, which is going to limit the service to Stockley.

What does Ben do here, and in League games to change that

And those are questions I hope Ben is thinking of now, rather than general question on here

So once he passes to Fraser what happens next....?

Not hearing of passes then been played into the box for Stockley to get on the end of.
