Been out since around 4.30 today & REALLY pleased to see where we stand at the end of play.
Weather, our bowlers & lady luck permitting, tomorrow could be a very good one for our lads.
Maybe I should add the umpires in that list too after reading AA's post!1 -

Good news - play is set to start on time though there is the possibility of rain at some point0

Awful start - 15 off the first four balls of the day!0
-
Make that 19 off the first 7 balls with Saini going for 15 off his first over0
-
Hain out. Excellent catch by Billings in front of first slip off Saini

Hain gone !!0

That's the big one.

The point made on commentary about Counties not knowing what the CC format will be next year is a totally valid one. The cynic in me suggests that they will look at who finishes in the bottom two and if they are non Test match hosting teams, such as us, they will automatically be relegated.0
-
Sibley looked absolutely plumb but not given. At least the third occasion that he's been given the benefit of the doubt during his innings.0
-
A 4th appeal, this time for caught behind down the leg side, but Sibley survives once again. Although that one looked the least convincing, one would hope that eventually he will be given.0
-
Rhodes gloves the ball down the legside to Billings (his 10th catch of the match) off Quinn

If we can get Sibley and open up both ends then we should, touch wood, finish the job sooner rather than later0
-
Still can't get over Surrey re-signing Sibley but understand that Ryan Patel is out of contract at the end of the season - would be a good recruit for us.0
-
Another to Quinn - Billings has 11 catches in the match which is a Kent record and also equals the CC record for catches
90-52 -
One to Milnes. Catch number 12 for Billings and a CC record for dismissals in a match. 14 is the record in FC cricket.
97-62 -
Milnes bowls Sibley

We have had to bring Denly on because we are currently facing a points deduction for slow over rate0
