Lot's of people mentioning Cracker and rightly so. I liked his bus driver in Still Game. The one I thought was his best role though was Max in Comic Strip, "I, I, I'm a bit of a mess right now". RIP.
  • RIP Hagrid
  • RIP. Massive part of my childhood playing Hagrid. Perfect casting.
  • Absolutely gutted with this news. A brilliant British actor. RIP Robbie.
  • RIP - in The Comic Strip Presents he was superb in 2 of the best episodes - ‘Gino’ and ‘Summer School’

Very funny man and great actor

    Also in the ‘Young Ones’

Another from my youth gone …..

He was great in Cracker. He was also in a drama a year or two back about historical sexual abuse (National Treasure I think it was called). Didnt see it but must now try to find it on brit box or Netflix.

    RIP big man.

Along with Julie Walters, his performance in National Treasure (based on Yewtree) was outstanding.

    RIP

edit: posted before I saw your post @golfaddick - it’s a 4-parter, available on All4 (shocked to see it was from 2016 though)

Oh gawd, that’s very sad. I’ll always remember him in Tutti Frutti, the comic strip and the Bond films and best of all Cracker - a brilliant role. I’ve never really watched Harry Potter but it sounds like he did great work in that as well.

    RIP  big man.
