Nothing positive about that display... Fully expect Garner to come out with the players running on fumes again, if he does then he needs to start thinking whether we want to fight for our League status or the slim chance of facing a top side in the FA Cup.
The fact is we're four months into the season, and we have a Manager saying we're running on fumes, then you have to wonder what the hell is going on... We're not the only team to have signed free transfers this summer, but we're the only team that look to be struggling to endure 90mins, its something we've struggled with for the majority of the season
Injuries are no f**king jinx, they're surely coming about because something isn't being done correctly in between games, and are a combined issue as to why we're "running on fumes"...
I feel we need to look beyond the fact that we only sign injured players, its too easy and lazy to blame them, even if they were shit today... What we need to know now is why... Why did they look so tired for the majority of the game, and unable to pass it to each other!! - This has been happening far too often under the Belgian wanker, and now Sandgaard... Cost Cutting in areas is hurting us.

Mid table at best...let's not dress it up...phew..1

I had no intention of going to that game. I must have been psychic.0

An absolutely dismal and spineless performance. We hardly won a second ball all afternoon and created practically nothing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many misplaced passes from a Charlton team.
More feeble defending from Inniss and Lavelle for their goal and you can never fancy this side to keep a clean sheet.
Given the level we’re playing at and the poor quality of the opposition, that was as bad a performance I’ve seen from Charlton for a long time. Abysmal stuff and many more performances like that will see Garner coming under pressure.

Problem is once we miss one or two players, we look crap because our depth is way way below what is required.
Sound like a broken record but first 60 minutes we have to play with ten men every single game because of our poor excuse for a striker up top.
Come January we need to spend. Will TS actually make an investment or wait to finish lower midtable again and blame the manager for it?5 -
...and respect for diehard fans who made the long journey to witness that...4

What a depressing watch that was….a Sunday league pitch and team. Looked like a dark depressing place which is where we are as a club. Nasty little bastards like Smith and Benning who in my day I would have gone right thru. No fight in this team. I give up.0

Absolutely shocking, this proves incredibly bad we are at the moment.
The players do not turn up and you really have to wonder whether the managar and coaching staff have it in them to turn this bunch around!
We hear the same comments about Lavelle week in and week out! The manager needs come out and tell us why DEJI is not even getting a sniff at playing in this diaboligical team?
You cannot keep saying he is too young or inexperienced, really feel for some of these young players as they would have been better staying out on loan!
I am really sorry to say, but I honestly think Garner is not the person to take us forward whilst we have an inept owner who is almost as clueless as we are on the pitch.
Think Garner will be gone by Dec/Jan at this rate, and so will the attendances dwindle, those are the facts and reality about our club being run down in it's present state!
Apart from the u18 and u21 the rest of the club needs a restart and get back to basics, but you need to know what that means, I don't think any of these players have the nouse to succeed.6 -

Yet again people pointing fingers at the wrong person.
It is not Garner's fault he is stuck with Stockley as his only striker.
It is not Garner's fault he is stuck with Lavelle as our defensive cover.
It is not Garner's fault that he only has 5/6 decent players in his entire squad and outside of that they're barely lower League one level.
Look at the scouting department and TS specifically for the reason why we have dross like Lavelle, Stockley, Jaiyesimi, Gilbey and a bunch of kids to run a side with.19 -
Appalling. We don't even have the simple skills of controlling the ball. Can’t make an accurate pass to our man ten yards away. We can’t tackle: pathetic weaklings. We have absolutely no idea of clever forward movement – either on or off the ball. We are utterly dreary: physically slow, and mentally dim. Outplayed by a team in the fourth division last year. Rubbish.

Ben standing up and taking the flak in the post match chat, and quite rightly Brownie saying that the players should have come out and said this is down to us, and not acceptable, not just leave it to Ben, I know he is Manager and all the responsibility that entails, but that performance was totally unacceptable on so many levels from so called professional footballers..7
-
I feel for the guys on Charlton TV. I love watching them apart from Brownie who can be annoying at times. Having to watch this shite and then to analyse it.0

Port Vale lost heavily last week so went very defensive We should have gone for them but we were happy to fart about painfully passing it about five yards or less. Our defence is so crap, they were always going to get a goal from somewhere and we sleepwalked into it. AMB didn't have a save to make but If I was an opposing manager playing us I would go defensive as we have trouble breaking teams down.

Well, that was bloody dire.1

I was feeling a bit Charlton positive this afternoon and made myself a t-shirt.
It has got me thinking. How many games, like this, must that poor devotee have endured?7 - Sponsored links:

Crap, total, crap, they got every second ball, seconds before their guy scored I burst my lungs at the screen,"dont let him shoot"fuck it what do I know ,let us three defenders follow him the width of the box and shoot when he wanted to.Final 2 minutes , a corner, straight into the keepers hands, appalling, not even sunday morning on blackheath would you see that.A bit livelier when Payne etc.came on,but he missed a sitter, probably our only decent chance of the game.I have had it,I defend this team week in and out, really pissed off with what I saw today, and Really,i Could not give a toss now.A special mention for our skipper, the worst half I have ever seen in a Charlton shirt.1

We're SHITE!

Well peering down the tunnel and absolutely no hint of any light… We just wallow about in our own dreary world of complete apathetic nothingness. I can’t even be arsed to analyse it any more, we are now the complete nothing side in league one.5
-
Awful match from start to finish. Stockley has gone from being a fairly decent striker at this level, to someone who looks like they should be playing non league.
Thank fuck we've got a bit of a break from League footie.3 -
Curbs pointing out the 61% possession Innis and lavelle had most of it.6

I have said many times, I saw this with Stockley at Preston. He is playing by numbers and needs a break. We know he is better than this but it isn't helping him playing in a system that doesn't suit him with zero confidence. But there are not any options but to start him!2

Aneke being asked to play more than 30 minutes means he'll break down.
This is what Garner has to work with. It's an embarrassment.6
