Standing in the pissing rain on a driveway in Stretford waiting for @ricky_otto and our designated driver to get back to the car. They somehow managed to make it back around 10.50 when I was there by 10.25! Attracting attention from a neighbour who clearly thought I was about to break into someone's house or nick a car!

This was followed by an aborted stop on the M6 as the queue for food was too long, an utterly depressing 2am stop at Watford Gap and then roadworks and diversions on the M6 and M25.

    Got home about 4.15am.

Supposed to be working today. Logged in from home about midday. I'm 48 now and can't cope with such late nights!

I’m still here - thought I’d stretch it out to two nights as I’ve got a free week - and thought I’d give Mulligans a go since so many recommended it here. It’s tremendous - live music, loads of chatter and terrific Guinness. (And it’s raining outside which makes it all the sweeter.) Thank you to the Guinness hunters who recommended it!
