I hate to plough in with a correction but....the Arctic is a cold desert with only small amounts of snowfall. Lots of wind giving the effect it is snowing but strictly speaking it isn't.dickplumb said:The Artic.
If you had chosen the Antarctic you would have had a point, surrounded as it is by ocean, thus allowing wet air to precipitate but even then central Antactica is also a desert.
I found a small dog in the melting snow last night.
It was a slush puppy.

Just been out dog walking for 2 hours this morning in shorts (me, not the dog) all I can say is that it's fooking cold in the snow. It was almost tropical before it started.0

Had a good one hour of snow yesterday evening which at times was quite heavy. Dusting of snow on street. And cars this morning. On Saturday it was 20 degrees.1
