  • Michael MacIntyres Big Show. An overweight middle aged man skips about a stage, squealing like a 4 year old girl on Christmas morning, playing unfunny 'pranks' on various pisspoor celebrity volunteers for a whole fucking hour at peak time Saturday night. Every week is a repeat of the last.

A large heavy section of the lighting rig falls from the ceiling, grievously injuring him. The show is cancelled, and we all live happily ever after.

I think I played the last of us waaaay back in 2014 and it seems pretty accurate to the game so far but my memory has no doubt tossed details aside

Pedro Pascal is a good call but my only criticism is his voice is slightly too high pitched even if he has got the Texan accent perfected

To help me refresh me memory, the scene with Tess wasn't the creatures in the game but the cops who she held off rather than the infected I saw that slight difference, I cant recall why the fireflies chose Joel in the game but all those scenes seemed different too
    Psssttt, no spoilers.

I agree with you re this week's episode, but can't help wondering why you watch at least some of it every single week?
  • I only saw the trailer, that was enough
  • Anyone watched Mr Inbetween? Heard good things about it.

Yes and its fantastic, very darkly funny and well done, thoroughly recommend it. There is a bit of Ray in all of us, maybe just me

Apologies, I was being cautious but fully appreciate that could be a spoiler

  • Happy Valley was magnificent last night.
  • Happy Valley was magnificent last night.
    Agreed. I bloody love Raquel

  • Hunters Season 2 is on Prime now. Loved season 1, Season 2 really good too. Has just the right balance of sinister followed by surreal to keep me happy! (Sound of Music homage was brilliant!).

    Yes, different class.

Seemed to simmer rather than boil - understandable and appropriate in getting ready for the big one next week.

My prediction for the finale is

The son kills Tommy whilst Tommy is attacking Catherine

  • So the latest episode of Last of Us was…er…unexpected.
  • A bit oversexualised if you ask me, but beautifully written.

Tried watching this a couple of times. Not my cup of tea and some of the acting is just so wooden.

  • Resident evil. Not bad however the younger versions of Jade and Billie totally outclassed the adult versions. Watchable but not riveting viewing.
    6/10
  • Episode 3 of the last of us was a curveball to say the least but very well done, puts another dimension on that bit of the game to say the least!

    Thought it was really good.
Have been watching person of interest, not bad.
  • Only Murders in the building - Disney plus
great serial killer / comedy series, the cast is great and a good little binge, done season one on Sunday, 2 seasons with the 3rd being filmed currently.

I thought it was a quality episode, looks like they are going to stretch this season out. Getting used to Ellie now and think she is playing the part well.
  • This series of Silent Witness is awful
  • Binged the new Netflix Series Lockwood and Co over the last couple of days. Based on the teenage fiction books, but definitely "ramped up" for TV. Basically it's Ghostbusters, set in modern day London. Pretty good watch.

P of I was a good series and got better each series
  • Started watching 'Shrinking' on Apple...easy going, US comedy that I enjoyed in a 'disengage brain, open tub of sweets' kind of way.

Oh come on, it ticks all the essential boxes.
Nearly every family is black, white & mixed race.
Vast majority of the senior police are non white.
Jack's "dumb" daughter comes into his workplace every day in order to "sign" with others and do her homework.
The new lad is overtly Jewish.
He replaced the wheelchaired white lady.

Before I get brick bats for making these comments all I am saying is they are not representative in numbers in London today.
    Not in those numbers/ratios.

IE I doubt many have "dumb" kids allowed into their workplace daily to do their homework.
I doubt that nearly all more senior police officers are non white.
I don't believe the vast majority of families are mixed race.

I'm not saying any of the above is wrong, just that the writer is paying too much attention to box ticking, meaning the programme isn't representative of every day life.

It would be just as unrealistic if everyone was white C of E, because neither is that the case in London.
Dumb? Are we living in the 1950s? The terms used today are either deaf or hearing impaired. Dumb is offensive.
