Yes and this week we've got a police inspector and her adopted son in CID, investigating the death of the natural son's ex-wife, after dismissing the pathologists from the crime scene. It's absolute tosh, but I still watch every week out of habit.
Oh come on, it ticks all the essential boxes. Nearly every family is black, white & mixed race. Vast majority of the senior police are non white. Jack's "dumb" daughter comes into his workplace every day in order to "sign" with others and do her homework. The new lad is overtly Jewish. He replaced the wheelchaired white lady.
Before I get brick bats for making these comments all I am saying is they are not representative in numbers in London today. Not in those numbers/ratios.

Not every advert, but definitely the majority, which once again is not a true reflection of society as the majority of families aren't mixed race, even if a significant minority are.
That 3rd episode of The Last of Us is one of the best hours of television I've watched in a long, long time (coming from someone who's never played the game).
Watched episode 3 last night and fully in agreement. This show is so good, I'm just completely engrossed for every single second, wondering what's coming next. As said before, I had no idea this was based on a game so have no thoughts on whether the actors portray the characters effectively, but it is amazing TV and I would urge people to watch if they can!
Just getting through the Apple+ stuff. Given the rave reviews I’ve seen, I’ve been disappointed with Ted Lasso but only two episodes in. Does it get any better?
I finished season one of Perry Mason and thought it was decent. It was a bit slow but kept me interested. I had watched the first couple of episodes back when it was first aired two years ago but didn't continue. I was a big fan of Boardwalk Empire and recently noticed its director Tim Van Patten also directed Perry Mason so I picked it up again and enjoyed it.
The fourth season of Succession will be out in late March as well as Perry Mason season two. Coincidentally both of them are HBO shows. I guess I'll watch them when all episodes are aired. I'd lose interest had I waited for each episode of Perry Mason season one every week instead of binging the complete season in one go.
I'll start Peaky Blinders (again) soon - watched the first three episodes before getting "distracted" by Twelve Monkeys😅 My mum binged all six seasons of Peaky Blinders last month and absolutely loved it. Shame there seems to be no season seven? But just a film to end the whole series?
It's a fantastic piece of British television at its very best. You will get so invested in some of the characters. Paul Anderson is the real standout for me, amazing performance ably backed up by Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy, not to mention the late Helen McCrory... got to mention Sophie Rundle as well (She was brilliant in Jamestown too).
Just finished Vikings Valhalla. This second series has really warmed up and looks set for a third season. If you were a fan of Vikings, you will enjoy this one.
Just finished the first season of Severance. Bizarre but really enjoying it. Only 9 episodes and less than an hour each. I recommend it if you like psychological thrillers.
Has anyone mentioned Kaleidoscope yet? Interesting concept that you can watch it in any order, not sure it works 100%. However, thoroughly recommend it.

I found it hard work, interesting concept maybe but it was an effort to watch
Not sure if it has been mentioned, but I started Extraordinary on Disney + today. Mad twist on the superhero genre. Set in London and following a girl who is trying to gain her "power" in a world where everyone gets one at 18.
Just binged 1899. I thoroughly enjoyed it as a brilliantly filmed entertaining story. It also amused me that it was shot in (at least) eight languages, so unless you're a polyglot you're gonna need the subs on. Mrs Stig didn't like it much though because it "left you up in the air". Even if you don't like the programme, the bonus 'making of' prog is well worth a a watch. It was almost entirely filmed in a studio in Berlin apart from the bits that were shot at Elstree and a NY studio, but you wouldn't think it. The technology they used was amazing.
