Michael Hector will make his full Charlton debut.

Hector comes into the starting line-up in place of Ryan Inniss and is one of three changes made.

Albie Morgan replaces Gavin Kilkenny in central midfield and Macauley Bonne returns to the starting XI in place of Chuks Aneke.

We are likely to begin the game 4-3-3, with Sean Clare, Hector, Lucas Ness and Steven Sessegnon starting in front of goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer.

Morgan joins George Dobson and Scott Fraser in midfield behind a front three of Jes Rak-Sakyi, Bonne and Corey Blackett-Taylor.

Inniss, Kilkenny and Aneke are joined on the bench by Joe Wollacott, Matt Penney, Jack Payne and Tyreece Campbell..

Charlton: Maynard-Brewer; Clare, Hector, Ness, Sessegnon; Morgan, Dobson (c), Fraser; Rak-Sakyi, Bonne, Blackett-Taylor

Substitutes: Wollacott, Inniss, Penney, Kilkenny, Payne, Campbell, Aneke

Shame no Leaburn, not even on the bench, hopefully we have turned up today, and give a good account of ourselves, feel we will as we seem to raise our game against the "better" sides, so lets see how it goes...COYR

  • Leaburn not ready for the bench yet?

  • I've bought the match stream, even though I think we're gonna lose. It can't be worse than the Forest Green match... Surely?

I've been slightly surprised Morgan hasn't come off the bench in the last 2 matches, as Kilkenny after a promising debut has been slightly anonymous, so that swap makes sense for fresh legs if nothing else.

An interesting choice to bring in Hector in place of Inniss, that suggests Holden is confident he's up to speed for what will be a tough game.

Bonne starting makes sense also, Chuks wasn't effective as a starter on Tuesday
  • So no Leaburn at all and we can look forward to Hector making his debut today.

Would feel a lot better if it was Kevin Hector at the same age playing for us today.

    Ask your dad.

The Hail Mary pick Albie Morgan comes earlier and earlier each season.

Looking at Derby's team it shows how bad our recruitment of "names" as been in the last few years.

That Derby lineup doesn't look weak to me.
I would take Mcgoldrick, Mendez-lang and Hourhihane any day of the week.

Leaburn must have been injured for some time then really? When was his last start?

Maybe the ankle injury is causing issues as I don't buy what Holden said - it was too 'salesman' like....Leaburn scored a great goal in training and overstretched his hip in the process.

Think I'll revise my prediction now I've seen the 2 line-ups

    3-1.

  • My stream is continually freezing for some reason. Never been a problem before.

Frightened, fearing the worse, it’s trying to protect you.
  • Good news for next week in the studio, Stuart Balmer is down with the crew for the Sheffield game next week

Out for el luncho with the in laws so no shite updates from me today. Relying on the serious people as will be following the match on here rather than pretending to understand and speak Spanish.

Hector to completely erase Inniss from Charlton memory with a debut to live long into the ages
  • Paul Warne sounds like a good bloke

Good interview with Paul Warne taking the Derby side on us and the way we will play, sounds very positive about us, comes over as a nice guy, hopefully he can take a defeat in the same way..

Find it funny at the thought of others Managers watching that interview going: "THATS why he's never invited me to chat afterwards"

Hope it's not a Stuart Balmer type "debut to live long in the memory", as he scored an own goal in each of his first 2 games IIRC.
  • I agree with Scott Minto saying we could struggle, especially if we perform like we did on Tuesday
