  • 4-0 Ipswich.
  • Memories  of  4 v 4  from years gone by.
    Peake, Morts  , Dyer and Tommy ( R.I.P )
Take the same score but sadly going for 3 v 1 defeat. Hot shot Bonne from close range.
Cup 81 Les Berry head injury.

Play off Colin Walsh penalty miss

Over Christmas Caton penalty last minute.

    Carl Leaburn Hat-Trick 1-5

Bagheri plays his few minutes for Charlton.

2023 Hero anybody’s guess but the day out is one of the best.
New Years Day 2002 another memorable one

Big test for the system , our defence that’s been outstanding since Hector come in and Raki and Campbell who really have to be on their top game if we are even going to get a point today ..

Can we get anything Yes is the answer

I'm having wax suctioned out of my ears whilst this game takes place. I also have Shingles, which is not very nice, I mean, at all 😟 However, I may still have the more rewarding afternoon!

Actually, I quite fancy a shock 0-1 (Hector)

Not so long ago as Ipswich dropped into then abyss of L1 they looked not too disimilar to our lot. Dwindling crowds and losing games. Then along comes a new owner with a pension investment fund and spending lots of cash. Wins and capacity crowds follow. I think of the top 3 they will go up. Shame as I dislike their arrogant manager and the inbred families who spent all last seasons away game having a pop at the away end. 3-0 Ipswich, we are miles from the top 6.
And shirt sponsorship by that nice Mr Sheeran- a far cry from the betting industry scourge.

Sam Barrott is the new Referee for this match... Still from Yorkshire though lol!

Was in charge of our match @ Port Vale earlier in the season when we lost 1-0, so missed the incident that saw Stockley getting the retrospective red card.

Been in charge of two Ipswich games this season, both of which they drew
This shows you how daft their complaint was. We should complain that this one is NOT a Sheffield Wednesday fan and so he will favour Ipswich.

Not sure if the article I read quoting Conor Chaplin's generous view on Charlton is a bluff or a double bluff.  He won't have said it to booster our chances that's for sure.

Ipswich Town star Conor Chaplin is of the view that Charlton Athletic’s league position is false as the players in the Addicks squad are quality performers.

I don't think we've got enough for this one, 3-1 to the home side.
That's called "blowing smoke up yer arse!"

I hope the game doesn’t follow the pattern of a dream I had last night - thankfully it stopped abruptly when we were losing 5-0 😯

    Oooooh, done both of those.
Shingles was awful - it hurt just to wear a T-shirt. I'll always remember standing in the pouring rain at Portsmouth back in 88, I think it was, with just a T shirt on, whilst others had coats and umbrellas.

You must have had it young. Not wanting to apportion blame @jimmymelrose, but I reckon there was a fair chance I was at Fratton park for that game given the year. The virus lies dormant in the system for years and I distinctly remember thinking who's that wally without a brolly! 😉

Mine's on one  side of my head though.

In the clear Jimmy,...😉 you can't catch Shingles from someone who has it, the virus stays in the body after having measles, and can flare up at any time, all the best Swordy 👍

I think it is Chickenpox, not measles.

That would be a shock move.

It's normally Fraser or Morgan taking the corners and they come nowhere near scoring them.

Or even a decent ball in for someone else to score from them.

I thought you would realise I meant a header from a corner, not for him to take it 😁

At the moment it’s looking like it was a premonition not a dream. 2-0 down & we are awful
