I can't forgive him. We all know his decision not to play for us sent us down.30
-
Didn't he say he had fell out of love with football when he was with us, that was ages ago now so why would we go back? He is out of his prime and doesn't give a shit.2
-
He was at Chatham Town on Saturday as his brother plays for them. Was tempted to slide tackle him in the neck but decided against it.6

Always thought he was a talented player - such a waste. Shame he is such a knobhead.4
-
Someone to avoid signing for me - even if we move on from what happened when he was here, he won’t be the same player. He won’t have that edge now that he’s had his move to big school. Let someone else take that risk.6
-
He definitely doesn’t fit in with Dean’s ‘no dickheads’ philosophy.
Lyle is the biggest one out there.
Feck off ya eejit, see you on a YouTube channel selling your wares 🙄20 -
He's had his time here, he went for his big money move, he will probably get a gig in the championship, or help a big name team to get promoted out of league one, could get pelters if he comes back to the valley to play against us next season.1

I'd forget everything just to get out of this poxy league1 -
The sad thing is both Lyle Taylor and Scott Parker would be welcomed back to the Valley if only both had played out the season.
Taylor had 9 games to see out after Covid and Parker could have helped Charlton finish in a European position if he hadn't left in January.
Having seen how it's all about getting a contract for young academy players I also saw that journeyman footballers like Lyle Taylor wanted one big contract before injury or age stopped that happening.
Football isn't like an ordinary job where if you have a crap employer you seek new employment; if that was the case, Lyle Taylor baby would have gone with our blessing.
Despite the arsehole that was and is Matt Southall, most players saw out their contract with the extension because of the 9 game mini season after Covid shutdown.
In the sliding doors alternative, both Taylor and Parker are revered.
If only...

as much as his decision to leave infuriated me at the time you could argue he’s done well out of it as he has probably made enough money now to go and live like a Demi-god in Montserrat . Or enough to be pretty comfortable anywhere in the Uk for the rest of his days0 -

Unfair comparison as Parker left during a transfer window, a time when players move clubs. We had the whole window to find a replacement. I'm sure we've benefited from players forcing a move as well.
Taylor downed tools at a time when we couldn't replace him.4 -
There is no Comparison between Parker and Taylor.
Parker left because a bigger club came in for him after he showed how good he was. Most of us would leave our jobs at one place to earn more with better prospects elsewhere. Taylor refused to play because he is a selfish, self obsessed twat who showed no care for the club that had paid his wages for the previous 2 years.
I like Parker. Taylor can fuck off.11 -

The above is the comparison and unless you were at Fulham and heard Scott called a greedy cunt a thousand times and Some Cafc families slapping each other you may not be aware of the polar opposite views.
(Along the row from me)
The same thing happened at the Valley but I'm not aware if Charlton fans started slapping each other !0 -
I think he’ll struggle to get a gig at championship level. He’s not 29 and running a round like a madman anymore like he was when he was our talisman. He’s 33, hasn’t kicked a ball in anger for yonks, didn’t really cut it at championship level and I suspect will still fancy himself to get a last hoorah big money deal. I wouldn’t touch him with a barge pole. He also has a track record of downing tools. He’d better have a damn good agent.

Ryan Fraser refused the mini extension on his contract at Bournemouth and they got relegated as well. He said he had to be selfish or else the big contract wouldn't happen at Newcastle. He said he was gutted that Cherries were relegated which unless I missed it we never heard regrets from Taylor about Cafc relegation.
10 points from a possible 27 would've kept Cafc in the Championship.
Fraser said he would've played if it was a normal season that finished in May and honoured his contract at Bournemouth.
No surprise that Fraser gets pelters by Bournemouth fans.

He is a snake and if he ever came back to SE7 I wouldn't bother with the team until he was gone.

Ryan Fraser's " big move" has hardly worked out for him either , bombed out to the U23s by Eddie Howe now.2
-
Would love Taylor to sign for a league one club next year just so that we can all let him know precisely what we think of him when he plays at the Valley. Reckon that game would put a couple of thousand in the gate with stay always coming back just to give him dogs abuse.5

Ryan Fraser's 'big move' to Newcastle worked out very nicely financially but football wise his best football was played at Bournemouth.
Both Fraser and Shelvey were not considered good enough for a team trying to be at least a top 6 club in the Premier.
The Geordie's are ahead of schedule under Howe and could even nick a Champion's League spot.
At least we know Lyle Taylor was at Blue water on Saturday morning and watched his brother play for Chatham Town in the afternoon. CL have Spies everywhere.

Would he even drop down to league 1 now? I think the forest move has set him up and if he doesn't get a championship club next year, he will retire.
or he will do something to make it all about him and sign for Wimbledon for £500 a week to make sure everyone knows what a great guy he is0 -
Taylor without the hunger is half the player.
Leaving aside the bad feeling from his previous actions, I'd need to be convinced that he really wanted to play football and give 100% anyway.
Some players, eg Pratley, you know love playing and will give all they've got, others without that hunger are a liability, eg Watson.9 -
Would love Darren Pratley back. Top fella6

The idea of a regular scorer joining us has to be considered … and I loved that he was one of us for a while … apart from the end.And I’m tempted to say, fuck it, let’s get him back if he can score goals for us.Then I realise that we would be rewarding him for leaving us in the first place.Pisses me off because he probably can still be effective at this level … but he doesn’t deserve to be a ‘hero’ again.5

No, I'm pleased DP managed a promotion from League 2 and was unfortunate to be released because of Watson having one more season but I really don't think getting a 37 year old is progress.
Unless it's Messi 😀0 -
Genuinely forgot about him. As have Forest clearly as well.

I wonder what he’s on now with being in the premier league.
