RIP - lovely man, with a brilliant dead pan sense of humour - my daughter went to his dance classes in Dartford when she was little, so I met him many times - always had time for you, and was brilliant with the kids

I also saw him a few times at London Golf Club, incl one time when I hit a massive slice off the tee, and nearly hit him on the fairway next to us - I can’t remember what he said when I walked over to play my 2nd shot, but it did make me laugh

Oh, and what a dancer as well

Absolutely gutted. My wife and daughters are very upset. He taught my wife to dance. Then my daughters. To this day some of his students can be seen dancing with some of the country’s most popular acts.

We both grew up going to his teenage discos in both Dartford High Street and then above the Rumpy when it moved.  Knew him a bit, lovely fella. Couldn’t believe it when he got on the telly.

    RIP Len.
  • Len was a late highlight of my mother's life. When she was in hospital in Dartford, Len was visiting a relative in the bed opposite. He was apparently 'charming', not a word my mother ever used about me. RIP Len.
  • Very sad - didn't know he had been ill. Seemed a nice guy.

    RIP

That’s shock news, Len and his wife often had breakfast on a Sunday morning in a little restaurant me and my wife go to.

They were in there a month or so ago and he looked as fit as a fiddle and as normal joking with everyone.

    RIP Len

  • Len died as a consequence of having bone cancer. 78 is too young these days.

My sister used to go to his dance school in Dartford back in the day.  Apprently nobody had a bad word to say about him - such a shame

Met him at City Airport once and he had time for everyone, lovely man.

    RIP
  • He was a former member at Dartford golf club. As is my friend. My friend is a teaching pro in LA, Len went into the pro shop in LA and got talking to my friend (recognised the accent) and remembered him as a junior member and his dad. They had a good chat and my friend thought he was very nice and likeable. RIP

I loved going to Goodmans for my disco dancing classes back in the 80s, rocking a sequinned catsuit! Len was such a lovely guy and so kind and encouraging to those of us that had two left feet but still wanted to dance.

He used to play a game on your birthday where you had to see how many jelly snakes you could eat in one go.
