I don’t rate him. However I think he’ll get a new deal. If he leaves it will be interesting to see where he ends up. I don’t believe it will be a team in the top half of League One.0

Someone like Pompey or Peterborough, and us, might offer him a contract to make up the numbers.
Someone like Port Vale or Bristol Rovers might offer him a first team player contract, or Orient, but the money would probably be very similar to the aboves offer.
Then you could have someone like Gillingham offer him a similar amount, to play in a lower division.
In those 3 options there probably would be little in it in terms of cash, then it comes down to other things. Who the manager is, where he is going to live etc.

Garrymanilow said:Albie has definitely had a good run recently. 2 goals and 5 assists in 12 games and good performances in a lot of those matches is a solid run. It's worth remembering though that Holden brought in Kilkenny as an upgrade on Albie because he obviously wasn't massively impressed with what he'd seen. That was the obvious place to upgrade, and it's only Kilkenny tailing off almost instantly that's offered Albie this chance, but he's taken it. Three games left for Albie to impress but even then it won't undo the first half of the season where he was poor, because we can't afford to have a player in that position who is good 50% of the time. You could understand them giving Albie a new deal based on his recent run but I'm still not convinced he's able to do it consistently. He'll have to show us if he's renewed.
And players do need a run in the side to get up to speed. The Thomas playing at CB at MKD was unrecognisable from the hapless player making the occasional appearance earlier in the season.2 -
Yes, when you look at Thomas recently he has shown that he can be effective as a left back and centre half. From a player who nearly left in the last window, he is probably one we would want to keep now. I think Holden will be looking at what he wants to keep and lose and will try to make a difference with a few signings, rather than a Powellesque clear out and that is probably right in these circumstances although it won't satisfy some.
Ultimately, our best chance of success is trusting Holden and his decisions. They will be informed by experience of the players and that is something we have lacked in recent seasons.1 -
I wouldn't be surprised to see Morgan end up at Colchester. Compared to other youth products he has had more than a fair chance to shine but has always come up short.5

Good luck to him2

Always grafted & gave 100% for the shirt.
Definitely has ability. A fresh start maybe exactly what he needs.
Good luck Albie.8 -
Good luck to him. Has got some talent and ability just couldn't show it consistently.
By the way, @Dazzler21; we're here for you mate. x7 -
I predict he'll go on and do well elsewhere....... AFC Wimbledon me thinks.0

Thanks for the mostly underwhelming memories Albie1

Bit ironical really,we let a true red go,but circumstancies mean we have to keep,DJ,Kirk and Mcgrandles who probably dont give a toss about Charlton.11

Think he really should have pushed on more after 150 appearances, not have such serious question marks still hanging over his head. I think about other youngsters we've had and the progress they've made in less time and less appearances.
He still needs to go and play every week and we shouldn't be offering that to him, so it's right he moves on. He may become a good player one day but that seems more likely to happen towards his late twenties rather than anytime soon.
Best of luck to him5 -
Good luck Albie. Go somewhere and carve out a role for yourself.0
-
Career wise Albie needs to go somewhere as a starter. Maybe Gillingham?
Good luck wherever he ends up0 -
I think Morgan will get a decent midtable L1 club, I think people here slightly undervalue him.26
-
Been one of the people saying he needs to go so we can move forward, bit weird it's happend as honestly didn't expect it.
Regardless of personal criticism, hope the lad does well and a fresh start at a whole new club, the experience and everything really helps him push on.
Will keep an eye out on his career for sure
All the best Albie.6 -

Wont be surprised to see him end up at Gillingham as a result, or AFC Wimbledon with Jackson
If he stays in League One, reckon it'll be with Leyton Orient0 -
Albie needed to play alongside a real play make, and it might have worked out for him. His dead ball delivery was more miss than hit. Wish him well, sad to see one of our own not quite do it for us.1
-
Should go on to have a decent career.amd if he can ever find a bit of consistency and be able to finish could still find his way to the Championship. Always though Robinson would take him to Oxford as he is his sort of player but Robbo was fired I think.0
-
Glad he's gone, now we can start moaning about someone else!1
-
Hope he's got a move lined up.
Always gave his all, had bags of ability, but sometimes the football brain let him down as to when to utilise it.
Finally found some consistency under Holden.0 -
He'll go and be a stalwart at Leyton Orient or somewhere similar1
-
Never rated him but he always gave 100% and I wish him well and hope he finds a Club soon.1
-
Good luck Albie as most prob know have never rated him but hope he finds good fortunes at another club. All the best for the future

He can play a killer pass but too many are poorly executed, He can score with a long range shot but too many fly off target. He can run around and compete but also let people go. If you look at what he can do, it gives you hope and I would say this season has been his best and he has improved. He made me think that we might want to keep him as a squad player, but it could be a positive sign if we think we can get better squad players.
I wish him well and he may do well at a different club. I think he is definitely a League One player but would be one of the better League Two ones. He might be a good signing for a team like MK Dons.2 -
He could be the next modric or more likely Barry bannan. Good luck Albie. Best to get away from this toxic club and it's fans.
