I couldn't be more proud of John Ryder, clearly his plan was to go long and be willing to concede early rounds and put in on Alvarez in the second half of the fight and he did. Ive always been a John Ryder fan since the amateurs and he has deserved this shot, he beat Callum Smith and has been on the wrong end of some other wonky decisions that went to the ticket seller/promoters favourite. Sadly he would have had to knock Alvarez out to get a draw.

Alvarez showed how tough he is but Beterbiev stops him and Bivol will do what he did last time if he goes up a weight. At super middleweight I dont think anyone can get him stopped, he isn't in a division stacked with amazing fighters and one punch serious hitters so will continue to clean up

The scorecards were shameful especially the 120-107, totally belittled a very strong showing from Ryder.

Yeah that was bullshit but we know its going to happen. A home fighter like Alvarez essentially has a 5 round headstart and then builds from there, some.of the Klitcshko scorecards if they went the distance were insane

Fancy loma tonight... Haney looks nervous and the whole pushing at the weigh in seems massively overcompensating, haney is not that guy

Terrible refereeing there could have cost Cully a serious injury.

Cameron definitely won that. Be interesting to see what the cards say.

Just. It was definitely wider than that.
  • Until 10th round I thought Lopez dominated the fight but these US commentators were so wildly biased they gave him no credit. For me Lopez won comfortably and even the last round was won based on an accidental headbutt. Comments or gave it to Valdez by 6 rounds. Just utter nonsense.
  • think Loma did enough there

  • Wow, I think that was just wrong.

116-112 just shows you that judge didn't care what was actually happening in the ring. That was such a close fight with so many hard to score rounds, spectacle ruined again.

Morreti giving Haney the 10th sums it up

Thats completely ridiculous and should get looked into... Loma boxed his head off in the 10th and outlanded him 20 to 2!

Joseph Parker annihilated his little-known Melbourne based Samoan opponent in 1 minute 29 seconds of the first round in Melbourne last night.  He wants another fight down under but has his eyes set on a rematch with While/Joyce/Joshua to get back into top contention.

His mate Tyson Fury has been centre of attention in Melbourne and was there for Parker in his corner.

Luis Lopez stops Conlan with a huge shot, and the towel comes in from Conlan's corner before the ref can count.

Toe to toe action while it lasted, but Lopez hurting Conlan throughout.

Can’t remember seeing a boxer get so bullied as CBS against Okolie. Looks like a rabbit in the headlights. Ref has just given Okolie first two rounds to grab and rough house.

One shot from CBS turns it all around! Okolie is so grim to watch. Just left him self wide open for that

Okolie is one of the dullest fighters I haver ever watched. His fights bore me senseless. Never known a boxer to grab and hold so much. He looses so many points doing it, why his coaches don't stop him doing it I'll never know.

Wouldn't it be great if the ref took a stand and disqualified him. He is destroying this as a spectacle

About bloody time he took another point from him.

Wood drops Lara early but now has a nasty cut above his eye (headclash). Lara starting to dig in behind his shots as well

If Okolie doesn't knock him out and wins this then it will be a farce.

Hilarious that he has been counted for two "knock downs" when he has basically slipped over trying to hold.

Okolie is a joke of a boxer. Zero boxing skills and lucky to only have two points deducted.
If you fall over, after being hit, then it's a knockdown.
Nice to see a referee do something about the holding, shoulder barging, etc.

One judge gave it even. Ridiculous!
