thought it was a bonkers position at the time, even more so now

Vice captain and one of the first names on the team sheet for Luton these days who have just secured their place in the playoffs for a second season in a row.7
-
One of those players that I never really rated when he was with us, but then certainly felt his presence missing after he went.
I mentioned on the Ness thread, that he seems to have a lot of similar strengths and attributes to Lockyer. So fingers crossed he can develop to a similar or higher level.5 -
Loved him, could never understand how many fans were not that bit bothered about him leaving.16

Named in the EFL team of the year, and also Luton's player of the season...16

It says it all that Lockyer is still only 28 but has made 440 first team appearances already for club and country in his 10 years as a pro. You don't do that unless you are consistently good.8

Thought he was consistently ok. Never saw him as top end Championship but fair play and well done to him as seems a hard working, likeable chap who never let us down and always gave 100% each game.7

He is, IMO, head and shoulders above what we have now, but was surrounded by shit at the time and definitely got a bit of a raw deal because of it. It's no surprise people like him and Bauer have forged decent careers in the Championship since playing for us.4

I also always really liked Lockyer and being local, a lot of my mates and neighbours support Luton. Although they do tell me he won’t be signing a new contract. I am rooting for them in the playoffs, especially as it seems they will come across the scum in the semis! They were unlucky to lose Adebayjo to injury at the end of last season! Would love to see them get the job done this season, albeit how weird it would be to see them in the premier league!0

Wasn't always impressed by him in our Championship season, I felt like he was solid but not a huge deal else considering he was ever-present. He was never bad but I didn't feel like he bailed us out when we were struggling either. He's clearly improved massively since then so good for him.
