I saw Barry a couple of years ago (I think) and my guess is that the documentary was made in the last 6 months.

Wasn't sure if they were old clips, but good to hear he's still around, I remember him standing for chair of the old supporters club, must have been about 91/92.

    Yes.

Barry carried a bit more weight in those days as well.

Some years ago Barry was in a serious traffic accident - hit by a police car IIRC - and was not expected to survive. Happily, he did.

I think that may be it, on the A2/A102 turn off at Kidbrooke.

He was my DJ at my 50th, unfortunately that was nearly 20 years ago.

It's true unfortunately. Saw him doing his shopping a week or so ago and he looked very frail.

His passing has been confirmed on the Berry and Barrel Facebook page.

    RIP Nugget.

    Sorry to hear, RIP.

Remember when he used to steward some of the away coaches in 90s

RIP, really nice guy. Was always very lenient when stewarding the away coaches (as long as we didn’t take the piss). Organised for our coach to stop off at a pub on the way home after a win at Plymouth in the early 90’’s

I last spoke to Barry about 9 months ago when I gave him a lift home.
His sister (who he lived with) was in a hospital bed opposite my mum.
His sister looked very frail and I wasn't optimistic on her longevity.
I should imagine whatever the outcome it must have taken a toll.
    RIP Barry.
