If we sign some players, change our club culture, perform a few rituals, change all the seats, play with 12 men, get a Charlton ref and all cross our fingers for the game, maybe we have a chance of autos this early on.0 -
But we had a good transfer window ….0

20th if we’re really lucky0

Between 8-12th eventually after our usual good end of season run when it doesn't matter1

Does anyone have anything they’d like to add to their previous comments.
I’ll stick with mine. In for a penny in for a pound.0 -
I initially said 14th as a joke and then changed it to 3rd. I would like to have my cake and eat it too and have both of them as my guesses1

Depends on new manager and who we sign over next couple of days. I’d say anywhere between 6th and 16th0

Only at Charlton can we not be ready for a season to start.
Three of the players we have brought into Charlton this close season are unfit to play tomorrow or injured. Holdens words not mine.0 -
3rd. It's the "no manager bounce".2

Sadly, with yet another Autumn change of manager, we will be mid-table at best.0

Depends on the new manager. If they get the appointment right then anything is possible. Just look at Carrick at Boro last season, Cooper at Forest recently.
If we get a new manager bounce like we usually do (Bowyer, Adkins, Jackson) it will probably have us in and around the play off positions as it’s so early and the league so tight a run of wins will fly you up the table0 -
I'm going 9th.0

As we're now coming towards the end of the window, any updates on predictions?
I'm going 10th.0 -
I think we will continue to be erratic but if Dobson, CBT, Leaburn, Fraser, Edun, May, young Irish James, Both Watson's, Terry Taylor, Kanu can kick on I think we can Stay up and finish in the top half of the table in 8th place which will be an improvement.
If Hector can find his best form from last season and be happy off the pitch even 8th but can't quite see how we will make top 6.
Not sure if either of our keepers are quite good enough but if the defence gets stronger in front of them then maybe.0 -

Think I said 5th, probably closer to 9th or 10th. Still reckon we will get more points than last season, but squad is lacking in balance and quality.
Losing Fraser/Camera for a significant period would be a blow. Think most of us have accepted than Aneke won’t play any major part in the season.
A very big if, but if we can get a decent CB partnership and May/Leaburn form a good partnership no reason why we can’t be challenging top 6. Feel like the latter is a possibility, but the defence is a huge concern.0 -
16th. I'd only have faith in this transfer strategy if our manager had picked them to fit into his style and formation etc. But we don't have a manager and whoever it is will have a huge job getting them all to work together. With fitness issues I'd expect results to get worse before we move up the table a bit. Clearly no ambitions of promotion from the owners.0
