Without Salah Liverpool will struggle. He's definitely worth £150m to them0

I'd happily stay out of that circus if it just meant a bit more success and a cup run out of this league. It's fun for kids to see the stars, but realistically who wants to see there club get battered every week?. My Luton fan mates are happy as they've never been in that league before, but even they know they have zero hope, itl be miserable by January.BigRedEvil said:All these fees nowadays are mad, quite depressing really feels like we will never get to that level again0 -
I dont think City see Chelsea as a threat at the moment. They are years in front of that mob from West LondonAFKABartram said:Really don’t understand why City are offloading Palmer to a rival 🤷♂️0 -
Even though the 150M Saudi bid has been rejected, I don't think Salah will be a Liverpool player by the end of today0

their window doesn't close until something like the 20th but don't know how it works if they are buying from a European club.Gravesend_Addick said:Even though the 150M Saudi bid has been rejected, I don't think Salah will be a Liverpool player by the end of today0 -
Sunderland have agreed to take Chelsea striker Mason Burstow on loan. The 20 year-old is at Sunderland’s training ground.
Burstow was on the bench for Chelsea’s opening Premier League game of the season against Liverpool and was a used substitute in the next two league matches against West Ham and Luton Town.
Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino then started Burstow on Wednesday night against Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup. His signing is a coup for Sunderland, who agreed to sell centre-forward Ross Stewart to Southampton on Thursday for an initial £8million.

He is presumably one of, if not, the highest paid player on their books and they could probably get two up and coming stars for the money they pay him. It's not like they are short of alternatives with Gakpo, Diaz, Nunes and Jota even without a last minute/January purchase or have to worry about rotation to the same extent as those teams that are in the CL.GetYerCoreyOut said:
They are stupid for not accepting that, £150m for a 31 year old is insane money.ForeverAddickted said:Liverpool have rejected a £150m bid from Saudis for Mo Salah1 -
Selling Ross Stewart for £8m and replacing him with a 20 year old loan player won't go down wellSELR_addicks said:Sunderland have agreed to take Chelsea striker Mason Burstow on loan. The 20 year-old is at Sunderland’s training ground.

Maatsen to Burnley for £31.5m!0

He's also levels above those players though, Liverpool would really struggle without him at this moment in timeAddick Addict said:

Presumably United will try and shift Greenwood out abroad somewhere today?0
-
Hudson-Odoi to Forest, maybe Gallagher to Spurs - really doubling down on the FFP workaround with youth players.0
-
Lazio apparently which would fit in with their image somewhat...North Lower Neil said:Presumably United will try and shift Greenwood out abroad somewhere today?1 -
Maatsen to Burnley has seemingly collapsed because he wants to stay at Chelsea0

Rob Holding might be moving to Palace for £4m. Seems weird these days to see a PL transfer with only 7 digits.2

Possibly so but £150m (with a £116m profit for a 31 year old) buys Liverpool at least someone equally as good and a hell of a lot younger too. They are in a state of transition and are re-building at the moment - they won't beat City to the PL title (defence isn't good enough and the midfielders hardly know each other) and aren't in the CL so the one aim has to be to secure a CL place. Losing Salah doesn't, necessarily, prevent them from securing that given that the likes of United, Spurs and Chelsea all have their differing issues to resolve and United, along with Arsenal and Newcastle have the distraction of Tues/Wed football whereas the Thursday games Liverpool will be playing surely won't be taken as seriously?jacob_CAFC said:

If this had happened a month ago, they might have taken the moneyAddick Addict said:

Pretty sure they can sign players from European clubs, the problem is European clubs can’t replace them as their window is closed.LargeAddick said:

Liverpool haven't dismissed it out of hand - Al-Itihad may go to £200m and are prepared to offer Salah up to £80m a year. Every player has his price be that the price of the selling club or the player himself. If Salah wants to go and isn't sold then Liverpool run the risk that his form will drop off as a result of him having his head turned so he's then not worth as much even in January.0

Bit of a strange one as there's a lot of interest in JCH as well, wonder what Peterborough are up to2 -
Hudson-Odoi has signed for Nottingham Forest
Easy to say, but bet Chelsea wish they'd bitten Bayern's hand off a few years ago now.3 -
Clarke Harris has a year to go on his contract, the owner will not let him go until/if/when it absolutely suits Posh for him to do soBraziliance said:
