Ade was on Graham Norton on Saturday night and recounted a story about an audience member who didn't like his jokes so punched Ade in the face. He said Jennifer Saunders kindly dived in to defend him and started swinging at the audience member.
I got a strange sense of deja vu hearing this story but couldn't place it.
Ade came across as a thoroughly nice bloke and as he recounted this sad tale, I couldn't help but feel sorry for him. Why do bad things happen to good people?18 -
Heard him on Desert Island Discs recently. Very homest and moving.0

I wonder if @mas@masicat will buy his autobiography 😛1 -

It was quite poignant when Ade said he would miss his wife and daughters but at least he wouldn't be attacked and feel safe other than coconuts falling on his head 😱
Masicat sounds like a bad man back in 1992. Violence is never the answer and I will fight anyone who thinks it is 🤔3 -

Yep fraid so, "but Masicat is never wrong" ... as the saying goes.Ffs, should have been "always right" !!!! Doh !3

I have always liked his humour and had the pleasure of seeing Bottom Live, an Arse Oddity. The chemisty between Ade, Rick and the indeed the audience was fantastic that night. Never understood why said Lifer mentioned such an incident of which he should be ashamed of. Of course we can all change.6

Just about to look for that. Was a complete arsehole. I wasn’t bothered about his jokes, they weren’t funny. He was using the wrong sort of language for an audience that contained youngsters. I told him to cut the language , and he wanted it taken further. He lost the argument. His wife scratched my neck. Was a great night though.6

Just watched it. Lying bastard. Completely untrue. He will be hearing from my lawyers.27
