I was just thinking Aneke is having a mare!!
I think for Chuks today it’s been less about him and more about their No. 32 being their best player.

No coincidence that the goal scored when Chuks got a chance to drift off of him to the back post.

    1.  Do NOT take your foot off the gas.
    2.  No fucking about at the back.
    3.  Score a couple more.

    In that order.

Famous last words, but Hector's been great today

He's not been great today but honestly I'm really happy for Chuks that he's finally back on the score board. They all count!

CBT has turned into a player who can be having a really crap game and then just get us a goal

AMB doing his best to give them a goal though.

    That aged well!

Can you say the same about May next please?
    Maynard-Brewer; T.Watson, Hector, Jones, Thomas; Dobson (c), L.Watson; , May, Blackett-Taylor, Aneke

    Get them all off please.

    Wait for it...

Yeah Reading are still a threat. Nice work form their 15 draws a save from AMB and the resulting corner comes to nothing.

I mean, he kind of always was. But the goal: crap ratio has skewed in his favour this season

CBT has become a different prospect over the last few months. Always had the ability to get up the pitch but his end product is through the roof. Four goals and three assists now this season.

I know it's his first game back, but based on today I'm glad we didn't sign Smith, just moaned all game and threw himself to the floor a few times

AMB still needs to work on his decision making when to come off his line. Really good shot stopper, but he's far, far too aggressive and goes for a lot he won't get to.

Also can we put in a bit for Abbey now, he's mustard and left footed.

    Gills 1-1
  • That challenge on TC was risky and studs up...fortunately TC got out of the way,...should have been at least a free kick

Case in point again chasing down Campbell and mopping up.

Agree it wasn't the best challenge, but the pace to get there was impressive, and he's been really good today.

Sky up to their now usual tricks again. Our goal comes up on screen - nobody at the ground, nobody on the phone, and the bloke doesn't even read it out on the vidi-printer!

      Substitution

Substitution, Reading. Dom Ballard replaces Sam Smith.

Three home **unbeaten** in a row. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
It was "broke" last home game until Aneke & Campbell came on.

Campbell should be on the right, not a striker. End of.
    Exactly this
  • Aneke down
