Aneke holding his hammy after a chase for the ball. He's down now.

Their 32 is some defender, did I hear hes only 20?

    Aneke down! holding his leg...
  • Oh no.

Chuks chased a long ball, got beaten by the defender, tried to turn ...

... and grabbed his hamstring ☹

    Currently down receiving treatment.

I was just thinking Aneke is having a mare!!
I think for Chuks today it’s been less about him and more about their No. 32 being their best player.

No coincidence that the goal scored when Chuks got a chance to drift off of him to the back post.
Case in point again chasing down Campbell and mopping up.
    And again beating Aneke 1-on-1.

Aneke gone down with hamstring problem afterwards.

And this is why you don't start Aneke.

    Twaaaang.  Inevitable unfortunately
  • That reaction doesn't look good from Chuks

    Fucking typical for him

….and that’s why Aneke is an impact sub for 30 mins

Triple sub coming for Charlton. Asiimwe, Fraser and Leaburn

The great thing about players like CBT and Chuks is even if they're absolutely terrible for most of the game they've still got it in them to suddenly provide a goal. Need to push on now
  • Charlton sub:

    Chuks away, Leaburn on

In the 60th minute, I imagine he was going to be subbed anyway, just not soon enough
  • Hopefully it’s just a twinge, though with Chuks I doubt it.

At least we have strength in depth up front now.

    Leaburn
    Fraser
    Asiimwe

    All on

    Aneke
    L Watson
    T Watson

    All off
  • And another sub:

    Nathan on for TWatson
  • Thought T Watson played well today.

This is exactly why you don't overplay Aneke.
20 or 25 minutes at the end of each game we might be able to play him all season.
Start him and you break him.

Asiimwe also on for T. Watson

Aneke replaced by Leaburn, Fraser on for L. Watson.

He's walking off pretty naturally, maybe hobbling just a bit. Hopefully he's more frustrated than sad. The fact that they were trying to stretch him out is a good sign to me. If they thought he'd torn it I don't think they would have done that a they risk masking it worse.

I've said it before, imagine taking on Aneke for an hour and his replacement is a younger, taller lad who's also just gonna bully you all game. I'd hate playing against us
