This match is telling me that Appleton has done a pretty good job to get the results he has with our squad tbh
I mean I'm not sure about that, seems more of a confirmation that absolutely everything about the club is shit. Problems way bigger than him but if things do ever get better I don't think he's part of that
I mean, our league form's pretty good and we've played pretty well quite a lot of the time in the league

Not having a living breathing adult human footballer up front will fuck most managers over, we have other problems too ofc

An abject first half. The players look to have meekly accepted their fate.

44' May is shown a yellow card
Does that mean he misses the Cambridge match ?

I was debating whether to go to that game or the Burton one on the 23rd. If he's not playing sat that will make my mind up. No hope up front if he's not playing.Ā
League and cup is separate for cards.
Shit. I thought that might have given me an excuse not to go....šŸ˜„
  • One of the worse 1st Half's I've ever seen from us.Ā
    Agreed. Truly awful performance.

To top it of the commentary stated that Bonne opened the scoring against his former club, where he had many successful years! Did he??Ā
Depends who you compare him against

Absolute cheeks that first half. TC and Asiimwe look like competition winners and Tedic might as well not be on the pitch altogetherĀ

    Worst Charlton side ever.Ā
I am sure they will raise you...

Tedic is a bottomless pit. Get Mbick on, and Kanu for TC

At the match. This is just awfulĀ  Dobson only one trying. Special.praise to CBT and Edun in their competion to be mostĀ  crap. Defence is all over the place and keeper doesnt inspire confidence.

Team of lightweight bottler’s. They are so much more organised than us, down to Apples.

Tedic waste of space, Campbell, can’t pass to save his life and CBT gone missing.

Absolute disgrace of a performance, Micky better make at least 2 changes.

We made Bonne look half decent and Williams was running the midfield, laughable.

Also did someone on here say Tedic is on Ā£15k a week ? The lunacy of football šŸ˜‚Ā

Tedic anonymous. We can still get back into this game with some changes, more fight (you have to earn the right to play) and a bit of luck.

  • Terrible HT stats

TC has looked off it for weeks to me. He pulls out of challenges and drifts about. Not unusual for a winger and a young one at that. But not what we need atm.Ā
Needs a loan to nonleague/L2 to really toughen him up

Pathetic display from every single Charlton player out there. Not a single one comes away with any credit. We've had some awful players in the past few seasons but this lot are up there with the worst of them

  • If it's any consolation for those who are there or watching on a stream, it sounds even worse on the radio!

I'm still of the belief that Bonne relegated us that Championship season.

Despite all the injuries and absolutely horrific squad depth he missed some absolute sitters. I know he got 11 goals but he should've easily had 15+.

Up there with George Tucudean for the most useless 1on1 striker I've seen.
  • My original ticket was annoyingly rejected at the turnstile, and I had to get a replacement.

Even more annoyingly the replacement worked, and I had to watch that embarrassing first halfĀ

    Gillingham 68% possession, pathetic.
    I shot on target.Ā

Won't win many games with that stat.Ā

  • The first half was so dire that I’ve switched channels to watch a match in the National League 😮

@killerandflash could you pick up my shopping for me @ Asda Gillingham Pier if you are please? - Thanks mate, saves me going out in the cold at FT
  • At the gameĀ

Utterly disgraceful performance - dreadful - shit - appallingĀ

No effort - no desire - from any Charlton player whatsoeverĀ

Wish I had stayed in the nice pub we were in, in RochesterĀ

Shame Cray didn’t turn us over. They’d have taken this far more seriouslyĀ
  • You KNEW Gillingham would be up for it. Big boy neighbours in town, 3 former Charlton players in their team.Ā

We had to match that commitment. Instead we've been second best across the pitch.
