Why has it got to be a prank?
Could it be that somebody put his name forward in tribute to his standing and contribution?
Nobody's questioning the 'legitimacy' of any of the other names.  Why so precious?
His was a fairly uncommon name and lots of us know who he was.  Pure chance has his name alphabetically last on the list and thereby most noticeable.
FWIW I was delighted to see it.
I mean, I don’t think it’s a big issue, but that’s not really what the annual remembrance is for.
This, if he had no connection with us or posh then why was his name up there?
Anyone with no connection with either should not be on there, regardless of what they have or haven’t achieved in life.

Don’t really think the when matters tbh.
    It’s the thought.
Grief is just difficult & we all deal with it differently.
    Love to you.

Benjamin Zephaniah was a spoken word artist which is so different to the Poetry that put off so many of the middle aged and seniors now who found it went over their heads and was boring when at school.

Benjamin brought his words to life with a cadence whether light hearted or serious.
I thought his 'poetry' was aimed at a younger audience or at least the young at heart.
When Zephaniah turned down an honour because he doesn't believe in that nonsense I realised he was a good man who wouldn't be a hypocrite after denouncing Royalty.

RIP Benjamin: He connected with many people with his words, even those with different political and religious views.
