Disappointed that Asiimwe isn't going to be in the first team squad this evening.9

FOUR 1st team players in the Team !
Makes the squad for tonight's match somewhat simpler.

Interesting line up.clive said:
Taylor and McGrandles back from injury, Asiimwe and Anderson not in the first team squad, Ward in goal.
Assume 11 is Tolu not Freddie
All U18s in FA Youth Cup action1 -
I imagine with the Youth Cup game, they want the best possible team available. Hence the inclusion of more first teamers in the U21 squad then we'd normally see.0

Three teams playing on the same day is interesting.2

About time injured players coming back to fitness gets a run in the U21, why has this not happened with other players?

Doesn't seem to be "the done thing" these days, at Charlton at least, but agree that it seems an obvious way to get and keep players fit.ross1 said:About time injured players coming back to fitness gets a run in the U21, why has this not happened with other players?
The counter argument is they could get injured in these games but that could happen in training anyway1 -
I saw Ladapo and thought Appleton had totally lost it 😳clive said:1 -

Doesn't sound very exciting or Watford only report their own attacks.0 -

WFC 1 - CAFC 0 45 mins.Davis whips in a free-kick from out wide that beats everyone and finds the far corner.1 -
Goal is the last action of the half and it's 1 - 0 to Watford at the break.
Wet and windy conditions at London Colney. Watford's training ground is next to Arsenals.1 -
Good to see our new signing Terry Taylor playing ! I would imagine just the 45 minutes for TT.1

Playing today at 1pm in cup match away to Bournemouth. They have already qualified for the next stage but unfortunately we have not0

Here’s how our U21s line up against AFC Bournemouth U21s in this afternoon’s Premier League Cup tie: Adegoke; Hobden, Toure, Bakrin, Dench; Gough (c), Santos, Hand; Rylah, Mbick, Ladapo Subs: Batt, Adigun, Mwamba, Enslin.
Very young side.
Asiimwe and Anderson not with the U21s, unlike Tuesday, so presumably have travelled with the first team.
No Ward either but may not be able to play overage players in these cup games

3-0. 15 mins.3

We are already out of this cup, even if we won, which is probably the reason Asiimee and Anderson with the 1st team0
-
With Edun suspended, I'm sure Asiimwe would be with the first team, even if we had a chance of progressing.ross1 said:We are already out of this cup, even if we won, which is probably the reason Asiimee and Anderson with the 1st team
A strange day to schedule an U21 game. Fine for Bournemouth as they don't have a first team game, but we do.0
