Agree 3-5-2 really shouldn't be set in stone and when defending it becomes 5-3-2 in an instant as long as you don't lose the ball in transition in your oppositions half, though twin strikers is a good idea as isolated central strikers are a rare skill and only Chuks can be good at that and Miles will be one day on a consistent basis.
Have Watched professional coaching with academy players (trying to get a pro contract) and being taught flexibility in changing shape/formations during matches I'm surprised when Cafc players struggle to adapt to the basics of two CB's not on the same wavelengths when one tries to play off side while the other hangs back. This should be learnt while they are still young teens if they have had any basic training to working in tandem.
At least Edun on the left and Watson on the right worked last night in an attacking sense when our two goals were scored; both in the box on their side of the pitch either scoring or waiting to pounce.What seems to be happening is that our two wingbacks aren’t tracking back, so our three centre back are all over the place with gaps everywhere.
I would favour a 4-4-2 with a diamond.6 -
Mark Bonner is an interesting name on the list , worked wonders at Cambridge not sure he would be too popular though1

Glad to see Duff and Eustace are at the top, though at this stage that's probably just names that fit the bill rather than rumours with any actual truth to them. It's definitely better than it was after Holden went though. Cowley, Appleton, Lee Johnson and Karl Robinson were our options then, I'd take most on the list ahead of them (except Parker. Never forgive, never forget).1

As has been mentioned unless you go for rookie you will get someone who has a failure on their CV and who will come to a club in the bottom 4 possibly if we lose to a Albie Morgan inspired Blackpool.
Warnock on a big bonus( keep us up!) until the end of the season*may work. He sounded interested in Crouch/Sidwell podcast last week in another gig now the new year is here.
Please can Last night be our nadir but it feels like we still may fall further with two games against CBT'S Derby as well.

All agreed late last night this. It is a very quick turn around until the weekend. Today will be a day off - Thursday is training, Friday is tactics and travelling. Unless someone very very good is available and willing to come then I really hope that we go down the route of appointing an interim manager. Not a caretaker but someone like Warnock who knows he’s only doing it for a few months and would be happy to dig us out of a hole. During the remainder of this season we sound out and find someone that’s not “what’s left on the shelf” but actually someone who has a proven track record. Will cost a lot of money but it’s madness to keep appointing cheap or average managers.8

Look at recent promotions from league 1, a lot have been young managers with no managerial experience but a good coaching background. Would happily give it to Euell till the end of the season and then reassess in the summer if he’s worth the job permanently1

I think someone said earlier that Lee Johnson and Methven don't get on at all. Also sounds like his Fleetwood stint was nearly as bad as Appleton with us.1
