Possibly the most interesting part of this whole piece. If true, it shows that maybe we are more than a casual investment to these people.
Duchatelet was completely hands off. Sandgaard was like an octopus.
Maybe we've finally found some balance ?0 -

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/feb/14/nathan-joness-exit-robs-us-of-the-funniest-manager-in-premier-league-historyHorrible piece from a pubescent nerd who has never put himself in the firing line, just critiqued from the sidelines.7 -

So why did CM approach Steve Sutherland to come back to the club if he has no say in the day to day running?
Here's his post from yesterday - "why are people now obsessed with Scott .. been said he has no influence on the playing side his job is solely recruitment like Steve Gallen … and CM has no say in the day to day running of the club .. again been said to many times yet people still go on and on1 -

Ran around a bit and made a nuisance of himself but didn't look at all threatening and seemed desperate to get himself at least a yellow card. In fact I didn't know it was him until I wrote up my report later that evening. Maybe it was just a bad night at the office
West Ham won 3-1 and have some pretty decent players tbf

Cawley saying Paul Hart could be back as part of NJs backroom team. Think someone mentioned Chris Cohen had recently gone to Lincoln?0 -

He couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo - been absolutely useless at Stoke.

Alex Dyer instead of Cohen maybe? Was at the Northampton game and I think has worked with Jones5

Sounds very much like a championship version of Cole Stockton.0 -
Hart was assistant to Jones at Luton. Cohen was first team coach.1

If it all goes wrong then Friedman and Brener are responsible. If it all goes well then Friedman and Brener can take the credit.
Not Leneghan, Warrick, Rodwell, Scott, Methven or any of the others hitherto destroying our club because of dreadful footballing non achievement.
Now Friedman and Brener have the job of persuading our dwindling and disillusioned support to buy season tickets.
As well as survival this season, what would persuade me would be a new contract for George Dobson.3 -
Wonder if the Backroom Staff is the last thing to be sorted, and we'll see Jones / Hart or whoever announced at the same time0

Intent is to get it done today.

The more I read about Nathan Jones's persona, the more I slightly worry!
If he comes in, he/we will need to start off well else it could get ugly.5 -

Luckily we're pretty good at starting well under new managers. It's after the initial 6 or 7 games that's the problem.9 -

February is a tough month, Reading and Lincoln are the games where we should truly expect to see positive results - Derby (He wont be in charge of anyway) | Bolton | Portsmouth | Derby, I'll be happy if we can get anything - Never know of course, could see a turn of form to when Bowyer came in, remember us having a similar attitude against Plymouth and Rotherham when he took charge3 -

He won't be in the dugout as far as I know.. He will start in the role officially on Monday.29 -
Last time we had a manager in the stands waiting to start we beat Brighton so derby should be know problem0

Jones is inheriting a similar situation to the one Powell did in 2011. A mixed playing squad, largely full of players he may not want to keep around for next season and maybe can’t play the way he’ll want them to. Let’s be patient and not get on his back. The rest of this season is a free hit. Keep us up, build for next season.42
