    Elliot 6 - had almost nothing to do
    Richardson 6 - steady
    Dailly - 7 - Good positioning
    Llera - 7.5 - Head to everything
    Youga - 6 - still scared me at times
    Sam - 6 - decent first half, faded in the second
    Semedo - 9 - excellent performance, best on show today
    Racon - 7 - some nice touches, but looked a bit tired
    Shelvey - 7 - worked hard as usual and some nice touches, looked to be tiring towards the end
    Bailey - 7 - solid and kept going throughout
    Burton - 7 - great ball to Waggy, worked his socks off again
    Wagstaff - 8 - Very good finish, really wanted to get involved and a mazy run near the end which could have led to a 3rd.

    Elliot - 6.5, clean sheet...another one at Tranmere please.
    Richardson - 6.5, Steady eddie
    Dailly - 7, Authoritative
    Llera - 7.5 Goal, and goaline clearence, some nice crossfield passes to Sam
    Youga - 6, Average
    Sam - 6.5 has the skill to worry defenders, in advanced positions should attack them more, take a risk!
    Semedo - 8, Excellent unselfish defensive midfielder display
    Racon - 8.5, the most imaginative and creative of our midfielders yesterday.
    Shelvey - 7, Terrific young player, best performance this season...still uneven, and not yet subtle.
    Bailey - 6, did not seem 'into' it much, did not relate to Youga brilliantly, average slightly distracted performance.
    Burton - 8, Really played well, totally unselfish, great pass for the second goal.
    Wagstaff - 7, only a vignette, but a good one.

    Parkinson kept his favoured formation, the right substitution at the right time. 8 (the goat will have to graze a little longer).

    Elliot - 6.5. When called into action he did what he needed to do... But he was basically a spectator.
    Richardson - 6.5. A few good things, nothing really too bad, steady.
    Dailly - 6.5. Marshalled the defence well, but gave away a couple of silly corners with badly misplaced back headers.
    Llera - 7. Got the goal, scrappy as it was. Was dominant in the air but the timing of his leaps does need work!
    Youga - 5.5. We need a new left-back. He's an absolute liability. He will cost us matches at some point in the season.
    Sam - 6.5. TAKE PEOPLE ON! He's always threatening... but he sadly lacks a bit in crossing.
    Semedo - 7.5. Good game, though I still think that all he does is win the ball (he does it well) and make a simple pass.
    Racon - 7. Was not as good as he was at Leyton Orient. Showed flashes of skill, but can be a bit too laid-back at times.
    Shelvey - 6.5. Played with the consistency of an undercooked meringue. Mercurial at times, dire at others.
    Bailey - 6. Captaincy responsibilities weighing him down? He was misplacing his usually excellent passing.
    Burton - 7.5. Very unselfish, with a good assist to Waggy. Lets everyone else try and play. But, we need a goalscorer.
    Wagstaff - 7. Took his goal well, is better physically and technically. Showed flashes of skill. But would he last the 90?

    Elliot - 6.5 - Reliable as usual, but not tested at all, so just can't give him anything more.
    Richardson - 6.5 - Again fairly reliable, but not tested. Good shot right at the start of the game.
    Dailly - 6.5 - Same as above
    Llera - 6.5 Same as above
    Youga - 6.5 - He's looked dodgy in other games, more solid this time but as I said we just weren't tested by Walsall
    Sam - 6.5 - As usual some good moments and some poor ones
    Semedo - 7.5 - MOM, won the ball, I imagine he goes unnoticed by some, but take him away and we lose the balance in the midfield, very important to us even against teams like Walsall. Is there a better defensive midfielder in the league?
    Racon - 6 - Ok but a few things weren't coming off for him, so pretty average by his high standards. Done more than enough against poor opposition.
    Shelvey - 6 - A bit like Racon really, has played even better but been tested more, both of them did plenty to handle a poor side in Walsall. A bit tired?
    Bailey - 6.5 - Decent enough really, I guess it showed how poor Walsall were when Bailey ran at them and got a cross in (or did he win a corner?), something he can't do against quick full backs.
    Burton - 7 - Intelligent play, holds up the ball well, great first touch again, wins decent number of headers against taller centre backs.
    Wagstaff - 7 - Took his goal really well, had some good moments, few things didn't quite come off but he had the right idea. Based on the opposition it's not possible to say he can do that against better teams, but he played well enough and it'll help his confidence.

    Not giving 6s and 6.5s because we were average, we just had a solid performance with a good mixture of hard work and trying to play nice football, I just can't automatically give 7s out just because we won. We played fairly well but never had to step it up a level or raise the tempo. We did fine just never had to raise our game because Walsall rarely looked a threat, can't remember a team that didn't have at least one dangerous looking player to worry about.
