It’s 5 years since my bestie had her stem cell transplant! I only realised as her granddaughter has just turned 5 and she wasn’t able to see her for two weeks after her birth as she was in isolation.
All still OK cancer wise but she is still quite vulnerable to infections and is recovering from shingles at the moment. She was due to retire in June but has brought it forward due to the shingles. She’s worked a lot of her time at Southampton General Hospital where she’s more exposed than most of us to bugs etc so it’s good to see her finally able to relax and recover.15 -
Five years since your friend was in deep crisis AT.
Your story gives hope to others, my sister in law has lymphoma in her chest wall, outside the lung as I understand the situation.
She is being monitored, so far her doctors have held off chemo for last 12 months, not sure why.
This story will encourage her I’m sure so thanks for sharing.2 -
My wife was diagnosed with unspecified T Cell lymphoma last year, she had CHOP chemo at Salisbury and was due for stem cell transplant at Southampton but she could not produce enough stem cells. However the chemo worked, she is now in remission but expects it to return6

Positive thinking probably helps.
All the best to your wife (and you).5 -
