George Dobson - Gone to Wrexham p136, farewell message p142

Thought that was the best Dobson has played when he’s had Coventry next to him. It’s not really worked before but last night they seemed to work well together and both had good games3
-
He didn't seem his usual 'tenacious' self yesterday, but not sure if that is because he is playing in a different role and has slightly different instructions.
Ultimately in my opinion Coventry long term will be better in that deeper role than Dobson was. So it's whether you think Dobson can be a 'top 6' first team 'box to box' midfielder.
I personally am not sure, and think there will be better first team options in that role as well. For me Dobson is still very much worth his spot in the squad, but I see him as a squad player moving forwards - and I believe those were the terms he was offered in his latest contract.

I still say that he will not be at his best until we pass 38 games and another yellow card will not matter. He is still proving how good he can be, especially his assist for the second goal5
-
I think he's been pretty poor since the Hungary announcement. Doesn't look his usual self at all.
Good ball last night, though.4 -
Sign him up!4
-
He's got the shackles of a two game suspension off his back now.
He'll need to avoid picking up another six bookings between now and the end of the season to avoid a three match ban (which I presume can carry over into next season, should he stay), but that could have been weighing on his mind these last couple of matches.0 -
He's gone now, isn't he? Signed a pre-contract so I don't think Jones could keep if even if he wants to.3

And also they disscussed at phone several times. Our manager spoke about Dobbo, he highligthed his work moral, and also a leadership at the pitch. He expland that Dobbo is like a elongated hand of coach at the pitch.I also asked him a question, that he afraid of that Dobbo will not join us at the summer, beacuse of Nathan Jones can persuade to stay at Charlton. But he told me, after a several converastion with Dobbo, he 100 % sure that he will join us at the summer. As I know, the way of the blow up a transfer, and stop Dobbo to left a club, was way to far to keep him at the same motivation to stay after summer at Charlton. The key also Nathan Jones for this.4

Dobbo sign for Fehervar as I know for three year long contract, so Fehervar can ask any price for it.4 -
This could be my dad pulling my leg, but he's not too clued up with current Charlton gossip so there may be some legs. Who doesn't love a good story/gossip anyway...
My old man said his mate took Dobbo in his taxi last week. Picked him up from Essex, saw the Charlton tracksuit and asked Dobbo if he was in the academy lol. He told the cabbie was the Charlton captain. When asked about how it's going he's said things are looking up and is impressed with the ambition of the club currently. Said he wants to stay going forward looking to fight for promotion next year.5 - Sponsored links:

Pre-contracts are generally not binding under English law as they are usually marked 'Subject to Contract'6

Whatever happens, i will never understand him signing that pre-contract anyway. Unless it was for crazy money (highly unlikely given the destination) why wouldn't he wait to see what other offers come in the summer that don't involve taking your wife and baby to Hungary (no offence intended).
I think he has been poorly advised by his agent, who no-doubt got a kick-back from Fehervar.5 -

From Nathan Jones.
"It (the pre-contract) doesn’t affect anything – as long as George is at it. As long as George is George then he will be fine.
“It will be entirely down to George and his motivation for the next two-and-a-half months."
