It was one you could drive cars onto the trailer, a bit like Eurotunnel with no roof, then you can stand around out of the car watching the world go past, go under the mountains etc.
Also, overtaking could be an issue.4 -

Wasn't too bad actually, it wasn't that fast, which was decent given you could enjoy the scenery more.1 -
Whats the likelihood of fans being able to go out and watch a game? If they have one of course!0

Has a very small coast line I believe.
Very mountainous and extraordinarily beautiful.
Had a hankering to visit a few years back but very much regret not having done so.0 -

I know NJ has his quirks, but he has to realise that some will want to go and watch if they play a game.2

If fans can go and see a match during the camp, then great. But that's the least important part of the trip.19 -

After the success of last year' tour where we had a coach under investigation from the FA pictured on official club channels with supporters, probably better if the club play this very low key5

For supporters that go away regularly, pre-season is an opportunity to go to new places and grounds0

For me, these games abroad are training matches rather than pre season friendlies.4

Last one was in Malaga also which is pretty famous for pissed up people who can make a week of it! Dont think Slovenia would have that appeal for people wanting to get on the beers!
plus....only chance ill get to see Charlton in Europe! haha!1 -
Isn’t the reality these events have just become an opportunity primarily to lure our wealthier sponsors along and keep them involved? Some other fans have also been able to be associated with it but as others have said it’s a training event not a pre season friendly.I can’t see any grounds to object if it’s a non public thing.1

Some of the things that are most important
Reinforcing the strength of the playing squad
Setting a playing style that's understood by the players
Engendering complete commitment from the squad
Training the players to an excellent level of sustainable fitness
Establishing excellence in every aspect of playing, training, fitness levels and health
One of the things that isn't important
Worrying whether the location for a pre-season training camp will work for some of the fans9 -

I should think 90% of the fans who go on these tours go near enough week in week out.
If there was 200 fans out there we'd probably know half of them.

Fans should 100% not be a consideration where the team goes on a pre-season tour. It should be a place where the manager, coaching staff think is best. If that aligns with fans great, if not tough luck.11

We can have another player/fan jolly in Spain and finish 16th if you’d like…

Is it reach the premiership at any cost then?
Who said anything about the fans being consulted about where the friendlies are played?
Just be nice if the fans could watch a game.
