Didn’t like the decision to bring Wood into the attack for that over and it’s proved costly.

Especially now Curran is bowling the 19th over, meaning Topley or Archer won’t get their full compliment of four overs each.

Good over Curran - no boundaries from it.

168-4 off 19 overs. Archer to bowl the 20th.

A vital win and a +1.343 boost to this stage’s NRR.

Barring any shenanigans, a win against South Africa or USA should put England into the semi final…

Looked like it might be a tight match but the 15-17th overs in both innings turned out to be critical.

This is more like it. Excellent final partnership and some good bowling to keep the target reasonable. Great stuff.

I do wonder whether we will play Wood in the next game. Apart from the game against Oman, he's failed to take a wicket and doesn't have the variations that our other bowlers offer hence why he's gone for a few too. I would be tempted to bring Jordan back in for him as he does give us another death bowling option, he strengthens the fielding and to an extent, although he shouldn't be needed, the batting.
