  • I can’t believe they flew with Ryan Air, I was hoping that they might cycle over there, now we know they can ride a bike, they could cancel the flights coming home, and pay up Frasiers contract, with the money saved, would also get a strong work ethic into them.

They might get back in time in time for the  start of the season, if not Charlton Life can pick the starting eleven from the youth team squad!

I've not seen an online story of fans mocking the Club for flying with Ryanair. Is the story an actual story?

Could've paid Alfie his 16 bags-a-week plus the add on's if they'd just gone Bognor ffs

Matt Godden takes a wrong turning, and ends up lost in thick forest, where he survives for 3 months on nuts and berries.

Matt Godden and Ahadme have a distinct look but I was struggling to recognise the new and some of the players who were at CAFC last season.

Compared to 10 years ago when my lad and I decided to go to the Mijas hills and the golf complex to watch a couple of the friendlies and see the lads put through their pre-season warm up in the Costa del Sol from the 15/7/14 until the 21/7/14. Stayed in Fuengirola along the coast. Seb was there plus ex-pats and other holiday makers. It was good to meet up with some of my old relatives from Bermondsey who had to scarper off to the Costa del Sol from the old Bill. Characters but being Millwall fans they were a bad lot 😈👿😮

The jokes seem to be all good natured and at the expense of Ryanair.

Josh Edwards looks similar but a little shorter and has a head like a Minecraft man

Bit of a concern that Leaburn isn't ready for pre-season. He's been out a long time now and you would hope he would be ready to participate in limited training in Slovenia.

The challenge will be the progression from training to competitive games. If he signs a longer term deal, I wonder whether we would contemplate a month loan for him to regain match fitness and game time.

Missing the bulk of last season alongside preseason will leave him behind.

Leaburn is effectively having his own pre-season programme anyway, having spent a lot of time conditioning at St George's Park.

I’m really pleased that the club have done this. Without doubt Miles has a lot of potential but he wouldn’t be the first young footballer who gets let down by his body as he grows. The jury is still out in terms of him being able to stay fit but by sending him to the best place in the country the club are doing their best to get him right

Hoping the players don’t get hypothermia, that water looked freezing, Nath will get them Swimming under the ice next, like Wim Hoff. 🙄
It's just a nicer version of doing an ice bath isn't it
    And with your socks on...
Yeah weird decision from Small there, Docherty had his off I noticed
    Not weird.
Small walked into the water much easier with his socks on than Docherty did without.
Those stones blooming hurt under foot.

Love seeing the cold water immersion. It’s little things like that which impress me………..I know, that’ll be down to the cold 😜 (insert Kenneth Williams gif here).

FL clubs can only loan players for half or a full season, I can’t see Leaburn being loaned to a non-league side. Just see us being patient with him, when fit I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts regularly alongside Ahadme. Could be a real handful for opposition defences if they can make the partnership work.

The thought of Miles going out on loan doesn't make sense; Cafc wouldn't have any control on the amount of games he could play and do we want him playing 90+ minutes, rhetorical question as the answers no.
League 2 or National league CB'S kicking him is not a good idea.

His training will be stepped up first then Miles can be eased back with short cameo's as well as Charlton will in the top 6 by October 🤞🏻 so he bides his time and makes the most of his cameo opportunities while getting fitter and stronger with his daily training.

Have you ever been to St George's Park? Fantastic facilities, shame about the location but there is no doubt you'd have to travel over 100 miles to find anything approximating to normal social life.

Spot on, look how long it took for the signings last year to get anywhere near match fitness, Taylor was somebody who, although played, could never state he was at his best, the same could be said about Watson who we eventually saw improvement in.

Did anyone notice the tattoo on NJ's right forearm?

Couldn't make out what it was and wondering if it could be of, 'Our Lord'?
