This is a proper pre season. Stark contrast when compared to the jolly-up in Marbella last year!
I hope they all come back fit and well. A little birdy says they are all doing double sessions, working their arses off and many are in the best shape of their lives. We are going to be a hard bunch of bastards next year

There is no alternative to Nathan Jones, and that looks like a ‘good thing’. Personally I want my respectful regard to be cemented in by winning games (lots of them) and getting points. Hopeful from me, and not regretting the season tickets bought.

Sounds like the Powers That Be are definitely putting actions to their words in terms of giving Jones proper control and authority - he's been well backed in the market and also given free rein to run things exactly as he wants, which is a positive.
Compared to some of the hodgepodge, unbalanced squads of recent memories and there is definitely reason to believe - and accordingly higher pressure too but I'm sure Jones will relish that and want the players to as well.
I’d love to know what the players think. Is this your bog standard pre season for them and many will have experienced different set ups at various clubs or are we pushing it further ? I’d love to know. I think since Bowyer left I’ve felt we’ve never looked that extra edge fit.
I think you have to be impressed by the preparation that Jones has insisted on, and that the club have backed this. We may be the best prepared for the start of the season that we have ever been, and I doubt many other Div 1 teams will match this.

Without any of them explicitly saying it I think they all feel like they're working really hard, that's how it looks anyway
Did Miles make it to Slovenia, or is he still at St George's Park? I understand the need for a separate programme, but it would be nice for him to be able to mix with the rest of the squad as well.

Doesn't look like he's there, imagine he's at Sparrows Lane. The St George's Park thing was 6 weeks. Looks like that October return date people have mentioned is probably accurate at this stage

Any idea why his injury is taking so long? I don’t think other players with the same injury have been out this long, could be wrong of course?

Hi hamstring injury was about as bad as they get without fully rupturing it. They are being over-cautious as its the type of injury that if not rehabbed properly could seriously affect his career.

That's exactly what we, the fans, want to hear.
In Nathan we trust!

Love this from Nathan A
Thought he might have been given a rest but looked like him.
Had a few sickness issues, and it's why I've gained a fair bit of weight, but watching those videos makes me look forward to getting back to fitness.
Once again, some of the technique on display looks very impressive, let's hope they can transition it to a real game.
