Nice to be seeing this content. The huge amount of Charlton flags by the training pitch are a nice touch.

Love these videos. I've no idea how this compares with last summer, but it's hard not to imagine Nathan Jones running a much more intensive programme than Dean Holden. He's very hands on too, rather than delegating it to his coaches.

With Jones being a bit of a nutter, Curtis Fleming does provide a nice contrast too!

Absolutely loving these videos ! Thank you so much , Comms guys !

Makes the upcoming season more "real" and as though we, the fans, are part of the build up.

Looks a beautiful area to be working in too.

    Totally agree!
The only thing I would add is........we really could do with a decent keeper. But we knew that.

Like I said earlier, it’s a beautiful country, lots of mountains too.
It is very clean and the air is also pure with little or no pollution.

Lots of good bonding going on, the new lads seem very down to earth (Mitchell and Edwards already seem like pretty big characters around training)

Kranjska Gora has been listed as the place where we're playing on Saturday.  Apparently about 80 minutes by road from Ljubljana.
Good luck to anybody that finds this place :)
  • Reckon even Nathan looks like he could get a game, age is no barrier.

Not able to really compare with past pre season events, but from the video it looks to me to be intense and purposeful work all round.
    Has anybody spotted Paul Hart?
It looks to me that Alex Mitchell is a person with presence.

As has been said these videos are brilliant.  The players seem like the kind of guys you’d like to have a beer with one day / and it’s been a little while since we’ve seen this kind of closeness.

im really enjoying the positivity on show and all the smiles.  Team spirit is so important and we seem to be building a decent one!

Keep it up comms team!  They e had their detractors over the years but they are pitching this perfectly at the moment.

It genuinely seems very different compared to previous years hopefully it pays off and we get our team to be proud of back

Take comfort from the fact that the only ones they saved were when everyone was in the box. Just have to avoid one on ones 🤷🏻‍♂️😉

Have to say, this content is thoroughly enjoyable and seems much better than what we have had in the past. Loving it.

Have they hired you or something mate? @JiMMy 85

I know it's only a few clips but you can see the quality is there. I'll never forget watching these a few seasons ago, it was a basic on-the-floor passing drill, and Stockley's touch was so bad that the ball flew up and he headed it back.

It reminds me of a previous summer, when Naby was in charge of some of the content and he provided a daily diary.

Thing I like the most is how quickly new signings seem to have settled in. Small joking with Docherty when talking about the river, A Mitchell with the camera talking to Kanu, Edwards and Taylor, even Ramsay and Watson. Easy to forget Ramsay and Small haven't even been here for 6 months and about 2 of those months were off season. There's clearly a togetherness building.

    Can you?

Obviously clips are edited to provide the right impression, knowing full well fans will assume and judge!

Just the fact that the majority of the squad are getting to know each other here in Slovenia and not at Sparrows lane where they go home after a few hours is so important for the cliché I know but so important in team sport: team bonding.

Could be another false dawn but at least the club is trying to be Pro active in the recruiting and pre season arrangements.

Which is a key reason why clubs have these overseas training camps, to build these relationships. And why it's so crucial to have most of your squad signed before you go away.

It's all going to kick off at the training camp tomorrow night when the Scots cheer for Holland!

Watching the day 2 video, either our strikers are going to be clinical this year or our keepers won’t save a single shot

Makes me wonder how many attempts were made/how much was cut.

    Kanu's finishing looks fantastic

I believe the importance of this exercise is to give confidence to the crosses and the striker in the middle more than the keepers.
The Keepers have their own drill when it's about shot stopping.
