Our number 26 looks not ready for a game yet.
Good forward play from both 11's just not happy that once again we can not keep a clean sheet.
It’s pre a season against a top flight Turkish team. I thought the game would be closer than it was.

with all the change is personal there’s bound to be chances and goals in pre season matches

    means nothing

Just a game to get players fit, for new players to get to know the rest of squad, for NJ to see everyone in action and hopefully no injuries

I might be alone in this but I enjoyed the football chat between Charlotte and Brownie. It was clearly never meant to be proper commentary and their chat provided an interesting backdrop to the actual match.

A decent performance on the pitch too. It will have provided good insights for NJ and his team to work on and given the players a bit of invaluable match fitness. A good end to what looks like a very productive week in Slovenia.
    Not alone, I concur.
Plus, as I was cleaning our holiday cottage I could only listen anyway.
    I really enjoyed it 🤗
Count me in for that. I get it that some people would rather just concentrate on the football being played but Brownie's experiences are great to listen too and Charlotte talking about what's happening behind the scenes at the Valley and training ground is good to hear too.
With the quality of the feed, I’m amazed they were able to identify anyone when the ball was on the far side of the pitch or there was a gaggle of players in the area. I thought they did a good job fill the time as meaningful commentary was impossible

Exactly that, they had the the same view as the rest of us in all fairness

Yes it is a preseason friendly for us, but it is also a preseason friendly for them.
The idea of these games is fitness, game sharpness and identifying players strengths and weaknesses. So you can take a judgement of team quality from these games.

What a ridiculous statement, second friendly in and decent opposition.

The fact you can’t name the players in question says it all

To be clear my issue with Charlotte and Brownie, both of whom I have a lot of time for, was just the utter relentlessness and repetition of it all. There was quite literally not a single second of silence for the 20 mins or so that I watched. Not a single second. It’s actually quite hard to do that!  Oh and the letters T and G exist in the English language btw. Not quite as annoying as Alex bloody Scott but on the way……

I cannot think of anything that would relax me less than Nathan Jones screaming 'RELAAAAX' across the pitch at me
Except him doing it dressed as Frankie goes to Hollywood

He may also tell them to shoot it in the right direction...

Rather that than ‘When two tribes go to war / one is all that you can score’

Potentially a troubling time to be REG
NJ said REG has picked up a thigh injury

Is there just an audio stream today? If so I pity them.
I listened on audio while driving, but got to my destination before HT and saw how bad the picture was. You couldn't commentate from that.

PWR (but I will). It was interesting to listen in to the Nathan Jones talking through the game. His most frequent statement was ‘relax’ at various levels of intensity but this was frequently countered with ‘F#CK’ at really only one level of intensity.

Having read five pages now I see this has already been covered. This bloody time zone does make me feel like nothing more than an echo sometimes.

Ness is as good as gone I'm sure. Henry also wasn't in Slovenia and was securing a move to Rochdale, I imagine a similar deal for Ness will be announced soon

Bit of a shame but for the best. There was a brief window when Ness genuinely looked like he could kick on and become part of the first team on merit but it never quite happened and he's behind all the senior CBs now and has Z. Mitchell coming through as the big hope.
