Good forward play from both 11's just not happy that once again we can not keep a clean sheet.
with all the change is personal there’s bound to be chances and goals in pre season matches
means nothing0 -
Just a game to get players fit, for new players to get to know the rest of squad, for NJ to see everyone in action and hopefully no injuries1

A decent performance on the pitch too. It will have provided good insights for NJ and his team to work on and given the players a bit of invaluable match fitness. A good end to what looks like a very productive week in Slovenia.
Plus, as I was cleaning our holiday cottage I could only listen anyway.
I really enjoyed it 🤗5 -
Exactly that, they had the the same view as the rest of us in all fairness0

Yes it is a preseason friendly for us, but it is also a preseason friendly for them.
The idea of these games is fitness, game sharpness and identifying players strengths and weaknesses. So you can take a judgement of team quality from these games.1 -

To be clear my issue with Charlotte and Brownie, both of whom I have a lot of time for, was just the utter relentlessness and repetition of it all. There was quite literally not a single second of silence for the 20 mins or so that I watched. Not a single second. It’s actually quite hard to do that! Oh and the letters T and G exist in the English language btw. Not quite as annoying as Alex bloody Scott but on the way……7

PWR (but I will). It was interesting to listen in to the Nathan Jones talking through the game. His most frequent statement was ‘relax’ at various levels of intensity but this was frequently countered with ‘F#CK’ at really only one level of intensity.Having read five pages now I see this has already been covered. This bloody time zone does make me feel like nothing more than an echo sometimes.4

I watched the last half hour. Found it difficult to glean much from the footie, and allowing Brownie (whom I love) to go full throttle on anything remotely connected with Charlton was tough to endure.
Except that he and Charlotte said a number of interesting things both about the pre-season preparations and the investment in the infrastructure of the club, all of it positive. And as a CTV regular, I can assure you that Brownie has been One of Us in this time, desperately frustrated that the club has been starved of such investment.I think it might be possible to believe that the ownership really has recognised the issues many of us have gloomily pointed out in recent years - and taken some pretty big steps to address them. Of course I may live to regret this, but I’m feeling more optimistic about the club at this stage than I have for years.32
