Overseas supporters can watch live ALL of the club’s EFL League One games live on CharltonTV.
Fans are reminded that being ‘overseas’ is classed as being outside of England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Jersey or Ireland by the EFL.
There will be a new format for CharltonTV starting in the 2024/25 season. Charlton will no longer broadcast match buildup and reaction in the studio, but Steve Brown will now join Terry Smith and Greg Stubley on commentary.
Four-camera productions will be in place for all fixtures, home and away, in the 2024/25 season - an improvement on the three-camera and two-camera productions for home and away games respectively during the 2023/24 season.

So, no more pre match chat, banter and build up, which has proved to be the best part of the whole match day coverage at times over the last few seasons, and will be sadly missed...and Brownie joining the comms team...🤷♂️
Looking forward to seeing how this all pans out, and will give it time to settle, but initial thoughts are not great...5 -
If Steve Brown joins in on commentary and you have audio only I fear you won’t have a description of the actual events very much. It is bad enough when Terry and Greg go off piste whilst play is going on, but Steve Brown is always talking over the action loads and loads.
The audio commentators and experts at matches seem to assume that because they can see what is going on, then everybody listening can see too.
First and foremost those commentating on the football should tell the listener exactly what is happening first, then they can go off on one when there is a break in play if they feel like it.
Describing the action in real time is the function of football commentary isn’t it?2 -

Only “southern” matches with all three.1 -

What I will miss a lot is Curbs, Scott, and Charlotte with their pre match, and half time banter and synopsis, plus post match, I also assume that post match interviews with Nathan will also be gone, no this will not work as it is currently set up to do imo... 🤷♂️2 -
I thought the pre-match stuff got a bit tired this season, the novelty wore off a tiny bit. Agree that as a radio commentary it's difficult sometimes; we need to know where the bal is and obviously nobody needs that on the TV coverage.1

Brownie gets a lot of stick for his co-comms but I find it quite endearing. He’s like our own club Mark Lawrenson.7

If as most us do see how shocking the defenders have been recently is supposed to praise them for it.
He is supposed to ignore the fact are midfield are good at passing short balls backwards and side ways and little else.
I prefer an honest commentator.22 -
