People laugh but he’s had quite a successful career as part of Premier league backroom teams. Appleton talked about other managers faking passion. It became clear it was just a job to him. Nothing wrong with that in general, but not what you want in the manager of your football club and the players.
Jones has recently spoken about the sacrifices he and the players have to make. It’s a huge part of his life and you can see he genuinely wants to achieve success here. He wants players who have that same hunger too.
