  • I've no doubt he will leave and they're clearly trying to unsettle the player but there's no way Everton are going to sell probably their most saleable asset for that.

To be fair United have way overpaid for players recently. Wouldn’t pay more than 45m for him personally.

It looks like Villa have jumped in to buy back Jaden Philogene, beating Ipswich

You would have to think they are in the land of deep doggy doo doos now.
Must be close to going into administration.

Meanwhile, Man Utd have been feeling flush by spending £50m on a 18yo CB I've never heard of.

Disclaimer:  I'm getting on a bit now and don't want as much football as I used to but this 'I've never heard of' thing is going to become more and more now I think.

In other news, Spurs won their first pre-season friendly 5-1 up at Hearts.
18yo Swedish wonder kid Bergvall assisted for 16yo English wonder kid Mikey Moore first goal for the 1st team.

Gray filled in at CB with Skipp while van der Venn, Romero and Dragusin were on their holibobs after the Euros and Copa America.

An Interesting stat I read - Romero only gave away 3 fouls in the entire tournament.  Hopefully he has got his temperament issues sorted now.

It's funny that you mentioned "I've never heard of..." just before this post...

Do you think Moore will be loaned out at some point or move directly into Spurs first team squad for a full season?

    I honestly don't know.

Would love to see him involved in some way but I think it will depend on other incomings/outgoings.
Quite a few clubs have tried to sway him - Man City, Dortmund, Barcelona, Bayern - so it may be the case that we've offered him a taste of 1st team football to persuade him.

From what I've seen of him, he's ready to play.

Will Lankshear may be the one to watch from the academy this season.  Sounds like he's been looking very good in training and was very good up at Hearts.  Plays Centre-Forward.

He played against us for Palace in the friendly, but Ryan Sessegnon has chosen to rejoin Fulham.

He was, but I don’t see him as a player who can help a team challenging for the top 4 (assuming that’s Villa’s aim again).

Having seemingly missed out on Gomez, Newcastle are turning their attention to Guehi

You have to feel sorry for my nearest Premier team Palace who could lose not only Michael Olise but also Marc Guéhi and Eberechi Eze 😀💪🏻🤞🏼

Sadly they may make around £170m from selling those three players.

170m only pays for one of the 4 sides. And then you pay more to sit in that stand and still have to stare at the 3 other shit stands

Solanke would be an excellent purchase for Spurs if they can get this over the line. Superb teenage striker who's career plateaued at Liverpool but has been on the climb again since Scoring goals again at Bournemouth.

Would I have put him on my wishlist at the start of the summer? No.
Do I think £57m is probably a fairly significant overpay? Yes.

    BUT
Do I also think he'll score 20+ goals this season? Yes.

Not a super sexy blockbuster marquee signing but if Solanke grabs 20 league goals then he's worth every penny.

Apparently Liverpool have a significant sell on fee in play... so wouldn't be at all surprised if we see some creative accountancy with someone going the other way to reduce the fee.  Levy doesn't like paying sell on fees lol.

I have to say West Ham have done some really interesting business this summer.

If they can get in Todibo from Nice as well, I think they'll surprise a few this season.

I think the only question mark with West Ham is will Lopertegui hang around? He doesn't seem to stay anywhere for long.

Missed that they've signed Fullkrug, he could be quite entertaining.

Meanwhile Chelsea are closing in on signing their 8th goalkeeper. That club is being run by lunatics.
