When I went to the Valley for my Wimbledon, Portsmouth and Birmingham cup tickets, the gentleman kindly let me go in to look at the pitch from the South West corner gate.
It looked lovely, there were several people in the stands cleaning seats, this was apparently because during the new pitch process loads of dust or material used in the process was blown around the stadium and dirtied the seats, it wasn’t part of any routine seat cleaning happening the gentleman said.6 -

I hope we are not going to let our midfielders run all over it.No surprise we let Dobbo go. He would have ruined it.0

It looks like one of those news reports where customers of a Willy Wonka experience or Christmas Santa trips are standing around an empty warehouse looking sad and saying "they promised us an unforgetable fun time event and all we got was a few chairs and half a cup of orange squash, little Brooklyn/Arthur/Britney are devastated".Henry Irving said:Fan zone today27 -
It does look bloody naff2

Do you know how long it takes to paint a second hand cable drum 😂Bedsaddick said:It does look bloody naff5 -
I reckon it might have seemed like a good idea when the weather was warm, and not raining.
But it does look like a wasted aesthetic opportunity in terms of both the content and the visuals.
Does it get removed between matches?0 -
That is actually quite amusing... Underwhelming.1

Come on, the kids can play hide and seek in that bin.Bedsaddick said:It does look bloody naff3 -
It’ll look fine when it’s full of people in the coming weeks1

Lets see what it looks like when finished. Will there be any cover when the weather turns? A lot of parking spaces lost1

Is this where fan protests against the regime will be hosted in future ? 😆😉

When does the Sammy the Snake bouncy castle go up?Henry Irving said:Fan zone today4 -
I thought I spotted a big screen - just above centre - in the middle. Having enlarged it though, I think it's nothing but a dirty trick.

Serious question. Is it looking better than previous summers?
on TV the other night I didn’t feel it looked noticeably better (though looked absolutely fine). Is that TV not doing it justice or is this pitch one that will simply stay looking good for longer ?1
